The New Mountwood Monster course rocks! It's much better than the original Monster in my opinion & plays almost entirely in the woods now.
There's going to be a few changes to the weekly doubles now. It'll remain at $5 per player, but $1 from each player goes to the club for the upkeep of the course and future additions. Also the starting time will need to be changed to 5pm with the daylight time getting shorter. Eventually it'll have to happen sometime in the late afternoon & may need to change the day too if necessary.
Anyone who's a MOVDGC member & hits an ace, they'll be rewarded handsomely. Non-members gets $25. Also we'll be having CTP throw-offs for a prize weekly, as long as there's at least 8 players.
As some of you already know, I'll be moving away to Frederick, MD in a couple of days. Someone will need to step up and take my place. I would really like to see this weekly doubles continue & everyone should come out and support the club & the Mountwood Park.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, just let me know. Post it in here, e-mail me, look me up on Facebook or whatever. Adam Sams, Scott VanMeter, Dave Wiltsey, Brad Goff and Randy Ferrell should be able to take in your feedback as well if you happen to run into one of them at the course.
