2 Aces in 2 Weeks.

Yes, last Monday, August 3rd., Ron P from AuGres (designer of the Old Airport DGC in AuGres) hit his first ever witnessed ace in a chain basket, hole number 3 at Blizzard Hills. That's the 2nd. League Ace for hole 3.
After Ron took his prize, he was gracious enough to contribute $7.00 back to start a new ace pool. Then this past monday, August 10th, Kevin Sauve hit his 2nd. ace at Blizzard Hills league night with a direct straight line drive into the number 17 hole basket. Everytime Kevin comes to Blizzard Hills, he seems to hit an ace (or at least chains). But don't think that Kevin and Ron's aces indicate any level of easy shots off the BH tee pads, that's not the case. Ron has been playing disc golf for 30 years and has a beautiful throw from anywhere on the course. He has hit aces on target courses but was without a witnessed ace until the BH shot. Kevin said that the ace on #17 was his 23rd or 24th witnessed disc golf hole in one. Since the ace pool only had the $7.00 donated by Ron P, Kevin refrained from taking the $17.00 that had accumulated from 10 players from that evening. Instead, the he was given 1/2 of what we took in for the night, $5.00 and Kevin donated $5.00 back into the pool making it $12.00 for next week. And here is some advise for those without an ace at Blizzard Hills league. On August 3rd, Daniel Alberda returned to weekly play after his last visit in April. We were all glad to see him back and hoped for his weekly visits to resume. By luck of the draw, Ron P became Daniel's partner and Ron got his ace, making a joke afterwards that Daniel was his good luck partner. Then Monday, by luck of the draw, Kevin and Daniel partnered up and low and behold, Kevin gets an ace. If on Monday the 17th, Daniel's partner gets an ace, we'll start wondering about the good karma that follows Daniel and his partner ??? and wondering if we should have players pay extra for the chance to partner with the good luck charm.
