Maybe having a doubles league a couple times a month or so on another day, or testing it out at a tuesday league before anything is set in stone would be good. I really enjoy playing doubles, but it can be off-putting to first time league players if there isn't a very deep pool of players and the tunout the first two weeks has been pretty discouraging. As far as par goes, I think that a few could maybe be tweaked or stretched out around a bend to pull of a couple legitimate par 4s at some point in time but for now, even the really tough ones are just relatively difficult par 3s. 15 is especailly frustrating, but if you look at it as a 4 it becomes a pretty boring hole (layup toss off the tee, pitch to safe spot, pitch to safe spot, easy 4 most of the time) It's usually only when going for a miracle park job or trying to squeak through a line that just isn't there on that hole that you get yourself in very much trouble (in my opinion). I have seen lots of courses set "pro" and "am" pars or "rec" pars which could be a good idea (maybe?)
I really look forward to seeing you guys out at league sometime soon.
