Join us for the Champoeg Dubs 2021 Finale. The 20 players with the most points from the League will be invited to play for a share of the Cash!! $$$ There will also be a 'Best of the Rest' bracket with a trophy and cash prizes for the top finishers. Anyone who has played at least 3 weeks of regular season play can play in the 'Best of the Rest' bracket.
All 20 players invited for top honors will receive a commemorative trophy with your name and the place you finished based on your position on the leader-board after the last league day of August 19h. All players who play at the finale will also receive $$Cash$$ prizes. We will be playing one round of at least 19 holes that will reveal the final 4. After the first round we will stop for lunch with Hot Dogs and Chips! And we will be giving out all the prizes and trophies, and holding the raffle while the final 4 rest. These lucky 4 will play 9 more holes, carrying over the scores from the first round, to see who gets the final trophy and the most cash!
If you are in the top 20 and you can not make it to the Finale, this opens the door to the next person in the points standing to play in the Finale. Please notify Buck or Burke if you will not be able to make the Finale so we can make the proper adjustments. The trophies will still be made with the names of the people in the top 20, even if they can not make the finale. Anyone who is playing as a substitute can win cash, but not an engraved trophy.
If there is a tie in points for the Top 20 golfers at the end of the 12h week of league play, or a tie between alternates allowed to fill the spot of someone not able to attend the finale, tie breakers will be settled as follows.
1.) A player with more weeks played during the season will take the higher place in a tie.
2.) A player with a higher overall average of ALL weeks played will place higher in a tie.
3.) A player with a higher single day score during regular season play will take the higher place in a tie.
4.) A player that hit an Ace during regular season play will take the higher place in tie.
If there is still a tie after the above 4 actions have been taken, then a simple CTP style throw-off with 3 throws from each player, (at a time and location decided by Buck and Burke) will break the tie.
Any ties during the Finale, up to 1st place, will be determined by the order on the leader-board in the points standing. If there is a tie at the top after the Final 9 holes then it will be sudden death, hole by hole, until there is a single victor.
There will also be the Founders Cup presented to the #1 point taker from the season, a consolation trophy given to the golfer who finishes #1 on the day of the Finale, the 'Best of the Rest' chalice, and The Lady of Champoeg trophy. It will be a great way to send off the season. Hope to see you there!!
