This year's league will be run by myself, and assisted by Justin Desserre, so if you have any questions give us a shout or email at [email redacted].
This league is sanctioned by the PDGA for those who are interested (but if you don't know what that means, that's okay) and will run for 10 weeks finishing the week prior to The Northern Ontario Championship (NOC).
*Registration closes the _tee-off time_ of the third (3) week of play.*
To ensure your rounds go smoothly be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules, there are plenty of videos online, as well as the official rules at PDGA's site. But we're all friendly and will gladly help those who want to learn.
There will be several divisions depending on the amount of registrants, and players in those divisions. Ranging from Recreational (REC) to Mixed/Female Professional (MPO/FPO).
If you're just playing for fun, just getting started, or like the walk, then recreational is likely you. If you're a little more advanced, have a PDGA number, or are looking for competition then on of the upper divisions may be better. But usually after the first two rounds we'll know where you'll fit best if you're not sure.
Although registration with the PDGA is not required it does have some benefits:
- Allows you to track your player rating week over week beyond the end of league
- Earn points towards PDGA events
- Track your scores beyond the end of league
- Access to UDisc Pro features (stats, rounds, etc.)
As for the cost. All fees go towards league registration, insurance, prizes, and beyond that, the betterment of the Birch Point Disc Golf Course. When sending payment, if you have a PDGA number add it in the message section. This will make registration faster.
When: Tuesdays at 17:45 EST
Where: Birch Point Disc Golf Course
Cost: $40 For registered play
$10 Drop-in (can go towards registration if done in first two weeks)
E-Transfer payments can be sent to [email redacted]
Thanks,
