The Intown Putting League (IPL) at Scofflaw is a random draw doubles putting league that runs on Tuesday Nights from 6:30pm - 9pm.
Located at Scofflaw Brewing Co - 1738 MacArthur Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
In person check-in begins at 6:30pm weekly in the Scofflaw outdoor patio. Players are capped at 32 (16 teams) to start out the first couple of weeks and see how we can grow from there.
The official 10 week Winter/Spring IPL will begin Jan 4 and end March 8, 2022. Weekly team payouts and a separate individual points series with payouts on March 8, 2022 and a Grand Champion. $10 per week with $5 going to weekly team payouts and $5 to the end of series payout. The Top 30% of total players will receive individual payouts with the Grand Champion receiving a customized full weight IPL Championship Belt.
Weekly League Format:
-Random draw doubles (cornhole style), drawn at check-in using an online algorithm.
-Each team is made up of 2 players.
-2 teams will compete per round on one lane of 2 baskets that are 30' apart (no jump/step putts).
-Teammates will be on opposite sides paired with their opponents.
-Each player gets 2 putts each.
-If a player makes 1 putt, they get 1 point. If they make both putts, they get 3 points. --After each frame of putts per team, players will change ends and putt at the opposite basket.
-The first team to 11 points wins. A team must win by 2 points to win the round...(ie 11-0, 11-2, 11-9, 13-11, 21-19 etc)
-Challonge will be used weekly for bracketing and statistics using Round Robin/Swiss/Single/Double elimination brackets based upon attendance.
Individual Point Series Format:
-1 point is awarded for each week you attend.
-Each team will split weekly points based upon how many teams they finish ahead of..(ie if 16 teams play, first place splits 16 points (8 points each) and last place splits 1 point (0.5 points each).
-The most points an individual can earn each week is 9 points and the least points an individual can earn each week is 1.5 points.
-Points can vary greatly weekly based upon weekly attendance and who your weekly random partner is.
-There is no cuttoff to the individual point series, however, weekly sign-ups are on a "first come, first served" basis.
-Top 30% of total players will win cash payout.
-The Grand Champion will win a customized full weight IPL Championship Belt.
