When does this begin for 2011 / 2012 season?
The Turkey Open is Saturday, November 5th.
Monday, November 7th seems like a great night to me…
REGISTRATION begins at 5:30 pm and ends at 6:00 pm.
Different formats can and will be used.
We'd like to start by 6:30 pm.
If you are not there by 6:00 pm and are trying to call me, I will be busy. Please call someone else you know and let them know you are on your way to reserve your spot.
The cap for each night will be 48 players - entry will be reserved for returning players.
Working with the Scene, we still have not found a way to award weekly points so I can simply write in the News section the week’s results as I have in the past .
For more info or ideas, please post on the Talk section...
Possible formats:
A/B/C Pool players: A and C pool players are teamed, B pool players are teamed (all by random draw) and everyone competes with everyone for one collective payout. Last year we had an B1 and B2 split making the B teams much more even. 4 game min. The teams with the most wins are placed into the Great 8 match play to determine team winners. The margin of victory during the 1st 4 games was used to create the Great 8.
A/B Pools: A pool players are matched with B pool players, random draw and everyone competes with everyone for one collective payout. 4 game min. The teams with the most wins are placed into the Great 8 match play to determine team winners. The margin of victory during the 1st 4 games was used to create the Great 8.
A pool / B pool / C pool: the A pool players play against A pool players on court 4. The B pool players play against B pool players on courts 2 and 3. Courts 2 - 4 baskets remain 32 feet apart. The C pool players play against C pool players on Court 1 and the baskets are placed 20 - 25 feet apart. There will be 3 separate payouts, 1 for each pool. If an agreement is reached by the entire pool, entry can be changed from $5 per player to $10 ? per player. 4 game min. The teams with the most wins are placed into the Great 8 match play to determine team winners. The margin of victory during the 1st 4 games was used to create the Great 8.
**NOTE:
C pool players may decide to move up and play in the B pool. Pools are decided by a group concensus. Feel free to help decide who goes where…
B pool players may decide to move up and play in the A pool.
A pool players cannot move down.
We reserve the right to make all pools even numbered.
