Congratulations to Bob Barker and Jay Binienda. Our S.D.G.C. Champions!
runners up were Bob Turner and Mike Handley followed by Joe Palomba and Jay Moyer. Taking a $42 cash ctp was Mike Francisco. Steve Tioran and Jason Riberas winning a 3 disc merchandise ctp each.
I want to thank everyone that supported this league, with attendance, donations and contributions. Such as Oxford beverage of Grosse Pointe, and Joe Palomba. Hope everyone had fun. Hope to see everyone and more, next spring. S.D.G.C. Has moved to Saturdays at 4:30 for the winter.
Everyone welcome, come on down!
We will instead tee off by 11am sharp. Food will not be ready until after the round. The beer however will be on time and ice cold, on schedule.
They are all unique and one of a kind. We will have 2 playoffs for choice of trophy before the playoffs begin. May both men win!
The numbers are in. League is over. top 12 members that show up are in the playoffs. party starts at 10am. plenty of food. side doubles c'mon down. Thank you.
Bring your raincoats, umbrellas and extra dry towels. looks like we'll need them. If we knock the round out before 10 we'll miss the worst of it.
you my friend are a warrior. according to multiple radars we only catch light rain. the more severe stuff fizzles off to the south. winds no higher than 12 mph.
If you made the top 10 and cannot attend for the playoffs, You will receive a trophy as well as a 25 point bonus toward the Fall league. We apologize to anyone that did not receive enough notification in advance.
Round the troops up, Jay. I'll be slow cooking over 13#'s of pork shoulder tonight for tomorrow. Got buns for 40 sammies. What time you want me there in the morning?
I'm not usually up by then, lol. No, I'll be there. Unless the power goes out while we're sleeping - that would be a big problem!
Top 10 point earners get a custom made limited edition trophy whether they can attend or not. The top 12 point earning members, that can attend will get into the playoff. The top 6 will draw for partners amongst themselves and seeds 7 thru 12 amongst themselves. The pot is $800 minus $200 for trophy and party expenses, leaving $600 to be paid out to 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th places. regrettably some players may not be able to attend and unfortunately we do not have the ability to delay until a magical ... more
What time will the fall saturday season rounds be played?
4 or 4:30 tee off for fall league, haven't determined the best time for maximum attendance yet.
The last night for points will be on September 27th. The league party will be the following morning Saturday the 28th. tee off scheduled for around 11-1130am. We will be doing pulled pork sandwiches and beverages for any members that can attend. We will also have a side round of doubles for those who are not in the playoff so every one is welcome.
Immediately following a brief awards ceremony, registration will open to kick off the Fall Saturday league scheduled for 4-4:30pm tee off. Anyone tha ...

Just 7 weeks to go. Ace pool is building slowly but surely. This year the players with the best attendance will earn a playoff spot. As always we would like to thank our sponsor Oxford beverage of Grosse Pointe.
As of 2pm the forecast calls for a 30% chance of scattered showers at only one hundredth of an inch, with temps in the mid to low 80s. That being said League on!. Ace pool has been reset so there will be a 100% Payout if hit regardless of membership. Bring fluids and possibly an umbrella. Hope to see many tonight and S.D.G.C. would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend.
One hundredth of an inch eh?! More like one hundred inches! Lol. Sitting in the parking lot getting dumped on. Hopefully it passes
Double points. Partners worst drive. Shout out to Dave B. From Oxford beverage for the delicious contributions.
Most of the work is done. We have another 20 wheelbarrows or so to put out. I will be at Brys around 11am. If any body wants to run a couple, it would be greatly appreciated.
Jay B. Resets the ace pool for a chunk of change and a commanding lead in the points race. Thanks goes out to Oxford beverage for their delicious donations.
Do you know what happened with CTP for 10/22 and 12/24 last week? The flags were still in the ground the next day?
Points are fixed, Francisco has a disc coming. New policy moving forward from this point will be any unclaimed merchandise or cash will be forwarded to the playoff pot.
We will be using standard 24 hole layout for the remainder of the season.
This week's league round will be played on the Behemoth layout.
All good Jay. Cant complain about mixing it up. All grows the sport at the end of the day.
We are also doing another bonus merchandise ctp this week.
Congrats to Erik Scott for hitting the first ace of the season. Thanks to Mike Henry and Joe B. For showing us how it's done. Also thanks to Ted Swarthout from Detroit Disc for a nice 2-piece donation, which will be an added ctp in next week's round.
If any league members are interested in playing the behemoth layout for next week's round? Please reply.
As usual thanks to all that came out. Please comeback and don't forget to bring a friend.
I was thinking about 3 man teams anytime we have a registaint number that evenly divides by 3. We could still vote on layout.
Thanks to all that came out, congrats to prize winners. Scores and points are up. Feel free to message me if there is a discrepancy. Membership discs are scheduled to arrive in time for the next round of league.
Last but not least. Thanks to Jake Schneider catering, for the second year in a row. I smell a tradition coming on.
