Update on Brighton Recreation.
The sun and temperatures have cleared the concrete pads. There are a few spots on the back (no pads) that are mush. I will flag out better pads for leagues for safety. By doing this, some of the holes will be a little shorter, but you will understand when you see the mud. That being said be careful on the elevated holes. Make sure you wear shoes or boots. After the rain tomorrow it will be sloppy in some spots.
The course looks great though! Bring your A game! This one is totally different from Marion.

Going out to Brighton Rec early on Friday to check out the condition of the pads. Was out there yesterday and it was unplayable due to ice. If you want to come out Friday at noon please do. Bring a metal shovel if you have one. I will have my shovel, a wheel barrow and some salt. I am expecting the pads to be decent, but I want to ensure the walk ways have at least a path through the ice. The few elevated holes are bound to be covered in ice, so I will be clearing a safe path if needed.

Next week at Brighton Recreation. Bring your A game! CTP will be on a basket by the parking lot. We tee off promptly at 5:00 next Friday.

We had 11 brave souls out to face the wind and cold. Matt and Woody took the W with a -11. I won the CTP on hole 18. Good shooting guys. There is $55 in the player pot. Thanks for coming out. Don’t forget next week we are at Brighton Recreation!

What are the benefits of sanctioned doubles? I thought the main advantage of sanctioning league was rated rounds. Pardon my ignorance if this is a dumb question.

Hunter, there are a few benefits of sanctioned leagues that I can enlighten you on. 1 it’s a league, so the entry is way cheaper. 2 the stress level is lower because of the financial aspect and it’s a more relaxed atmosphere. 3 usually you will be playing with people in your area that you know. I’m sure there are more benefits but that’s all I have for now.
