Because of heavy rains earlier in the week, the Findlay Disc Golf League played at Van Buren State Park today instead of at Riverbend.
Chad Andrews and Dennis Hills took 1st place by 1 stroke at 50 and split the $20 1st place prize.
Adam Warnement played without a partner and tied with Fred Cartwright and Taj Sampson at 51. The $12 2nd place prize was divided among tied players so Fred and Taj each received $3. Since Adam had paid a second entry fee, he received $6.
The plan is for play to return to Riverbend next Saturday.
A bit windy but another great morning for disc golf.
Congratulations to Adam and Taj for their win with an 8 under par score of 46.
There will be no league play next Saturday. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends.
Hope to see you all again on Dec 3.
It was a beautiful November day for about anything. Great day for disc golf!
Dennis Hills threw his personal best "no partner" doubles round score for the Riverbend course at 12 down (42). It was more than enough to take first place in today's league play.
Steve Traucht and Kyle Lambrite made a valient attempt but Tom McManness and Denny Hills held on to win on the 4th hole of sudden death play.
What a beautiful day for disc golf!!!
Ten players participated today. Congratulations to Chad and Ray for their great round - 13 down for a score of 41.
There will be no league play next week. The Findlay Flag City Classic Open will be played at Riverbend.
League play at Riverbend will resume on Saturday, October 22 at 10:00am. We will meet at Shelter 5.
The league leaders did not make it today so the 6 players present agreed to pay $5 each and pay $20 to the winning team and $10 to the 2nd place team.
There will be no Findlay League play next Saturday, October 1. We will be supporting the Ottawa Safari Event at Ottawa Memorial Park, Ottawa, Ohio. See event posted on this site.
Concrete was poured this week for 4 additional long tees for the Riverbend course. Holes 6, 8, 17 and 18 now have concrete tee pads for the new long tees. We need to give the congrete a few days to cure. It still looks pretty "green". The riverbend course now has 15 holes with long tees. Holes 11, 13 and 14 have only one tee.
This league is still active in spite of the fact that results have not been posted since July.
As you can see from the leaderboard we had 8 players today.
Congratulations to Jeremy Warner and Adam Warnement for their win today with a score of 43.

Findlay Disc Golf League
The Findlay Disc Golf League is now closed for the 2011 season. It will reopen sometime next spring. Some of the more hardy players may still get together and play from time to time but the league ace pool will not be available until the league formally reopens next spring. At that time the ace pool will be $100.
