Welcome. There are many summer leagues around GR area that can be found on DGS. People doing sign-ins will find you someone to play with if you come solo.

When signing your name to a prize flag please start at the top of the flag and quit crossing out the sponsor lists at the bottom of the flag. The hole number & hole type are written at the top and the s.ponsor is written at the bottom in the same marker. SAMPLE FLAG is in the pictures section of this league.

Is there a way to know when to play shorts? Our group played Longs this week (which whatever, helps my handicap a ton lol) but I know the group ahead of us did as well. In past rounds we only did when there was snow on the ground.

It was longs this week. Shorts on 5 & 16 is only if there is measurable snow that will bury a disc (generally more than 2.5 inches). I forgot to change the layout when I posted scores. It has been corrected.

Yes. You can show up any Sunday from 8am-1pm and sign up with the person running sign in. Nate handles my early sign in from 8am-10am and I run sign in from 10am-1pm.

Not that it’s a huge deal, however looking at the course layouts and different options I noticed that if we are playing shorts on 5,16 the par should be 55 not 54.

That is not something that I can change. Also the Amateur women and juniors may play all short tees. I would need to have 2 separate leagues to post accurate layouts for everyone.

No worries. Doesn’t really matter it was just something I noticed. The 54 is for shorts on 1,5,16. Shorts on 5,16 is 55. It’s just a number anyways who really cares lol. Not me!

Is there room for discussion about swapping scoring over to udisc next year? It only requires one person per card having a phone and has a lot of other benefits.

You're welcome to keep score on udisc during the round and turn the scores into me. With prize holes changing each round and service issues at Fallasburg I do not plan on switching to udisc.

I keep a udisc score and someone else has the card, this way you don't have to pass the card. You match up the scores at the end, which should keep everyone honest and accurate.
