---------- Congratulations! Welcome to the
https://www.DZDiscs.com Bag Tag League!
Bag tags are a fun way to encourage friendly competition on or around the disc golf course and also meet and make new friends. A bag tag league is very simple at its core. If you and a/some friends each have tags, after your round, the best score gets the lowest tag. The next lowest score gets the next lowest tag and so on. That's it! The challenge is to get and hold on to the lowest tag you can find. The fun is the friendly competition and tag tracking.
---------- Every Tag Is Unique
The original tag number you receive depends a bit on where it came from:
--- #1 to 50 - Distributed to and by DZDiscs.com staff members.
--- #51-300 - Distributed to and by DZDiscs.com TEAM members.
--- #301+ - Distributed around the world to customers, family, and friends.
This is ONLY where the tags started but they will travel far and wide.
---------- Display It, Play It, or Pay It Forward
A bag tag can just be some cool bling for your bag but 'playing tags' is only fun if you've got someone to play with. It's quite possible you received 2 tags. If you did, then choose one of your disc golfing buddies and give them the extra tag.
If you give a new tag to someone we need to add them to the league also. If possible, please email us their name, PDGA#, email address, and starting tag #. If you don't have all that info then we'll take whatever you have. Bag tags work without players being officially 'in the league' but if you want to look at stats and the Leaderboard then we need at least a name.
Tags should be displayed on your bag or cart and played when appropriate. If for some reason you don't plan on 'playing tags' then PLEASE pass it on to someone who will. If you already have a tag and received another for some reason then spread the love and pay it forward to a friend or even a new player to help introduce them to the sport.

When you were given your tag you should have been officially added to the league you're looking at now. Here, you can submit bag tag # updates and view the leaderboards. The more accurate you keep your bag # on the club page the more interesting the leaderboards will be. One person can submit tag # updates for multiple people.
---------- Basic Tag League Play
For standard 18 hole rounds, if you have a tag then it's in play. You don't have to declare a special tag match ahead of time. At the end of the round just swap tags with the lowest tag number going to the best score. But remember, it's just a game. If you and a friend want to play 'tags' by seeing who can drive the farthest then go for it. If you want to have a putting contest for tags, then fine. Sing the loudest? Whatever. Special competitions should be agreed upon in advance of course. Have fun with it.
---------- Other Bag Tag Rules
Challenges: We don't really do challenges. If someone tries to challenge you for your low number tag then oblige them if you can. But it's not necessary. But please don't hoard your tag. If you're not going to put your tag in play then please pass it on to someone that will.
Display: Bag tags should be displayed on your bag or cart at all times so you know who to trade with at the end of a round.
