This Saturday 2/2/13 reg 830-915 Ice bowl Chili cook off at indy lake.
I have 50 ice bowl discs and all players get a player pack (pre-reg has first dibs).

YES THE 52 SOME PEOPLE THAT SHOWED UP FOR SUNDAY DUBS AT VIENNA PARK DID VOTE ON CAPPING IT AT $600 AS OF RIGHT NOW THER IS A $600 ACE POT AND A SIDE POT OF CLOSE TO $200 IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH THE ACE POOL IS GO TO TADGA.COM AND THERE ARE RESULTS FROM EVERY SUNDAY. But what would make it better for you and for the sport in Michigan? I'd like to hear more on what would be cool for those who can dream of more. More about what motivates you or what would be cool to get more people out playing together more often.

What if we could satisfy the two typical groups. Those who like to be a part of things but don't need anything more and don't want to pay anything and those who want to compete for something more....?

For the later group what if there was something like a side big league or club - those who join the club are in for the prizes at the end of the season and those who don't want to join just continue to play their regular league rounds and enjoy like always? Maybe two Leader board - The master board with all players so you see everyone playing all over the state and then a members leader board for those who are competing against the other members for the payday!!

Also I saw the post about Vienna - and had a message as well. I exchanged messages with Ryan and he mentioned that Chris does all the posting. Their league schedule does indicate that the rounds end in Dec 2011 and the next scheduled is in July 2012. It would be great if the league plans were posted so everyone knows. There is a deadline for leagues to post old rounds so that no one is surprised at the end of the season.
I don't have any more info concerning Vienna Sunday Dubs winter league.

You know DGS makes it a lot easier to run leagues and communicate and connect ect. but it is still some effort and everyone needs a break. It is really helpful to have a few people who can help out and share the load. If everyone is still playing on Sundays through the winter maybe you all can discuss if someone else should post to help out so that those who live in the area can still get more points, more often. If the league is not playing then start a new league and post the remaining rounds. There are probably more options - just need to talk with the people who show up and play. Or maybe they are not updating because they dont want anyone to know that their ace pool is over $1000. The last time they posted scores was on dec 11th. we had a group of us out there on dec 18th the ace pool was around 600 back then. I personally heard several people complaining that alot of people were only there to try and cash out their ace pool. they have since capped the acepool at a $600 payout.

If anyone knows exactly what their ace pool is please post it here weekly.

I play leagues because it's a chance to work on my game, get some exercise, and hang out with people I enjoy playing disc golf with. The points don't mean much to me but I'm fine with the system if it stokes some people's fires to play more.

Who needs a nap? Insomnia never sleeps at 5am LOL...So...points are meaningless green star achievments are meaningless(joe g! Lol)..rather than deal with leagues that dont post scores, weather reports and people that actually care about the system thats there FOR A REASON, why dont we just give every person who plays in the leagues the prize? A berth for states correct? why bother with points to decide who WINS one and who doesnt? Why bother playing more than 2 leagues per week to get your best ... more

Either way should anyones efforts go unrewarded? Either by points or winning a berth? Its still fun to track your points and rival with your friends and some of us die hard disc golfers APPRECIATE THE SYSTEM and are under the impression that when we play a league which is part of the system that our efforts good or bad will be reflected in the leaderboard, WHICH IS THERE FOR A REASON! Even if one person or 10 could care less about it some still do..if we all follow suit with those who dont care then micops summer/winter or whatever is completely pointless therefore foz, scott and pete should no longer have to worry about setting up the leaderboard anymore for us to all enjoy tracking our efforts....ill bet if the prize for first in points was $1000 EVERYONE would want their rounds reflected in the leaderboard! Everyone is entitled to their opinion but some people might just appreciate their place on the board for self satisfaction, even if others dont care where they stand.

Sucks that ya can't play a league without getting your name on this list. I have nicely asked all of the league coordinators to enter my alias when i get achievements so i can avoid the list and the meaningless green stars (hasn't worked). I dont want any achievement someone else helped me get. Points? BLAH! PDGA already gives ya points for everyone ya beat in sanctioned events (truly earned).

Is Vienna Sunday Dubs really a part of the MiCoPS? If so, does anybody know if the scores will ever be posted? I don't think it is fair to those on the leaderboard to be withholding scores from weeks worth of rounds.

Points in this case are a basic mechanism to connect players and encourage additional interaction. Bottom line as Sam recommends - play more disc golf! The true reward will be found there. How can we enhance the journey for ourselves and others .....🀄

We play a different course every week, different setup and formats voted on by the players day of. I agree we are not like every other league. If 9 hole rounds should count as half, shall night moose at willow or lakeshore get 1.75 for being over 18 ?

Not show up to one course and play a bunch of 9 hole rounds and count the same as people who are playing 18 hole rounds. Basically you guys played 18 hole of best shot then another 9 holes of something else. The simple fact that you re-flipped should not equal a separate round. It seems to not be in the spirit of what the points series is all about.

9 holes is half a round and therefore should be half the points.

We play two different layouts every week at Bandy but it counts as 1 round.
