The actual story is that the front 9 of the ball golf course would be for soccer and baseball and stuff, it's flat. The back 9 of the ball golf will be for disc golf as it's got elevation, big old growth trees, some woods, some open areas. It's basically perfect land in the heart of a disc golf friendly city. Location Location Location. Imaging a course like Flip but in the middle of Ann Arbor.

Possibility of a new disc golf course in the area? Let's get those votes in fellas. Nice post Ken. Looks like we're battling the ball golfers as the voting currently stands at 36%(ball golf) to 34%(disc golf). Whoever voted for soccer fields is a moron, there's like a billion of those.

CCR Monday Night Glow Dubs might have been eligible for double points due to temp last Monday. For that matter, you may want to check back as far as you can go... we do play at night, after all.

I agree Brad that this cause and the efforts should get out there and let everyone join in who can.

Gabe "Admiral" Dotson is the point man for this. I would arrange to get any donations to him. If I can help in any way let me know.

I like the article idea to help get the word out even further. I suspect a few messages from some players and they would be on the phone to Gabe to get the low down and get the word out. Great idea.

Pretty cool what you guys are doing for the soldiers overseas.....where can we send disc donations? Has anyone reached out to the PDGA? They should put an article together about this for their website.

Gabe

Thanks for sharing the feedback from Jason. It is awesome to hear that the initial delivery made it there and they appreciate getting a care package from the Mi Disc Golfers, and know we are thinking about them and appreciate the sacrifices they are making. Although they are not currently throwing those discs on the great courses we get to play any day of the week and often take for granted, it's still great that they get to keep in practice, or learn about the sport and escape f ... more

Yes to to help clarify - the points a league enters when they submit scores is not what is used by the Point Series. DGS implemented the automatic point calculation for the Point Series so the leagues could still use their own point system or no points and have flexibility and independence with their league. So DGS uses what is listed in the schedule when it calculates the points. If the schedule is updated to show Double Points for a given round then the next time a round is posted the score ... more
