The information herein is to serve as the foundation for the rules and regulations of the Berks Disc Golf Club (BDGC) for the 2019 season.
RULES:
BDGC will observe all rules as referenced in the PDGA handbook (
https://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf). If there are any special rules for a league day the League Director will let you know during league day sign ins.
TIME OF PLAY:
League will be held on the dates according the 2019 events schedule. Play will be held at Laurelain Disc Golf Park (Snyder Ave, Reading Pa 19605). League days will be held on SUNDAYS. Players should arrive no later than 2:45 to sign in with the last card teeing of no later than 3:15PM.
COSTS AND FEES:
The cost to join a BDGC League will be $10.00 per player. The $10 entry fee will be broken down as follows: $5 towards end of season overall points payout, $2 toward end of season tags payout, and $3 to BDGC for course maintenance costs.
During BDGC League players will have the option to sanction their round with the PDGA. This cost will be an extra $1 per round.
LAYOUTS AND FORMATS:
During league days the course will host a variety of layouts (Short Pins, Long Pins, 5 Long, 18 Long, and the All Star Layout). Par will vary between 55 and 60 depending on the layout.
Singles format will be used.
The website discgolfscene.com will again be used to keep track of the overall points standings and tags.
For overall points a player will be awarded one point for their entry and 1 point for each player they beat on league day (ex. If a player beats 9 other players based off stroke score they will receive 10 points). If there is no play, due to inclement weather, no points will be awarded.
For tags, every tag will be up for grabs each league day. If a player does not show on league day they forfeit their current tag and take the next available tag after new tags are rewarded. If there is no play, due to inclement weather, no tags will be awarded.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Please follow the disc golfer's code when playing the course. 1. Play Smart; 2. Respect the Course; 3. Represent the Sport.
