nice job Jeff, what tourney did you play in? I looked on your site for the score, and don't see it.

Are any of ya'll playing Firefighters this weekend?

Steve Nolff   January 6, 2021 at 9:33pm

Thinking about it. I am just NOT a big Firefighters fan. Tis a good cause though.

Scott Adkins   January 7, 2021 at 4:32pm

I've never played it. Just trying to find a place to meet people and play this weekend.

Josh Russell    December 23, 2020 at 7:30pm

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with many more to come for all you old farts. Due to the lack of participation due to covid this year, it is unlikely we will have a 2021 season. On a brighter note, taymouth township, west birch run, has finally agreed to let me re-do the disc golf course. It will be our new home course when we return to play. I am currently working on the new hole 2 which will be a superb natural island hole. Do I dare say top 20 hole in the state ... more

Had a great time out at the Pines. I cannot thank Josh enough for the time, effort and money he kicks towards this league/club. I was a bit disappointed that only three of us could find our way out to the Pines on Saturday. I know we are all busy and it has been a weird year. I suggest moving forward that we has some kind of RSVP for the league finale. I guess I will also ask if anyone has any suggestions about the season finale. I know we were bumped up against a couple other tournaments, ... more

Steve, I, unfortunately, was helping out with FTF Tournament at GoldenRod or I would have been there. I have made a commitment to FTF and hopefully, we can schedule our Alztimers events around any FTF events.

brad chartier   October 20, 2020 at 1:52pm

Oh, I'd say head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes pain may have some say in participation. Also, why not rotate the location by having the winning doubles team host the following year at a course they determine? Let's give Josh a break and let him enjoy a round or two.

ron simpson   October 21, 2020 at 7:54pm

I also want to thank Josh for all the work he does. We really ended up having a perfect day to get a couple of rounds in. I also support the RSVP idea, that way we could plan accordingly.

Josh Russell    October 18, 2020 at 12:12pm

Congratulations to Ron Simpson on being the 2020 Alztimers season champion for the third year in a row and taking home the trophy. And congrats to Ron Simpson and Steve Nolff for being the 2020 doubles champions and taking home the trophies!

FINAL REMINDER! The season finale will be Sat. Oct 17 at the pines in St. Charles at 9 am. The season trophy and doubles champions will both be decided. If you are new, feel free to ask any questions.

Hey Josh - I was wondering if I could bring anything? Case of water, bags of chips? Plastic ware, plates?

ron simpson   October 16, 2020 at 5:24pm

Also is that 9am tee time, or check in?

Josh Russell   October 17, 2020 at 12:46am

9 is tee time. No need to bring anything than your own beverage. Hot dogs, macaroni salad, and chips for lunch.

I'll try to make this brief.
Thursday is the Lost and Found Round at Hudson Mills, the Original Course. I know I said it would start about 5, but, I have been putting in some extra time at work this week. Sooo, I may be able to get out about 2, which would put me at Hudson Mills about 3, soo, we can start some time after 3.

COVID talk. Hand sanitizer will be available and WILL be used at the check in. You WILL wear your masks. You WILL be socially distant prior to heading out to the cou ... more

Groot just got me so excited, I almost wet my pants. I had asked him to see if he could rustle up some prize vouchers for the Lost and Found Round for North Star Reach

He came through, it's kind of his thing. I asked that he get something from somebody, didn't care who, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Discraft, God love 'em, is sending over some vouchers. I don't want to announce how much they are for until we have them in hand and I can verify the amounts. So, stay tuned.

August 27th is rapidly approaching. The Lost and Found round at Hudson Mills. Please see the previous comment for some of the details. Not much has changed. Still $20 for the two discs and a bag. $5.00 of that goes into 50/50 ace pool. Still doing the Reverse Raffle.

We will have an ace pool CTP for this event in case no one hits an ace. I'm thinking hole 17 on the Original course. Also, since this is a TWIZBEE league round that all are invited to, IF you have played with TWIZBEE this ye ... more

just a quick plug for the TWIZBEE Lost and Found Round on the 27th.

The premise is simple. We have been scouring the countryside in search of lost discs. As of now, we have about 100. For the round, which is a fundraiser for North Star Reach, you pay $20. In return you will receive a bag, two lost and found discs and $5.00 of the entry fee will go to a 50/50 ace pool, with 50% going to North Star Reach. Not sure how this works but I'm guessing Reed Park will have a bunch of us. I'm also playing Flip on Sunday.

Josh Russell   August 5, 2020 at 2:13pm

Yes. All Alztimers at Reed will also be playing each other, even if in different divisions as everyone is playing same pads to same baskets.. A big 2fer saturday! Good luck!

Jeff Moellering   August 5, 2020 at 2:25pm

I'll try to have a sheet printed out and this way i can enter everyone's scores that attended. I think we have quite a few. Should be fun to see everyone.

Tony T    July 31, 2020 at 1:27am

Well, I spent two months in Michigan this year, and somehow managed to avoid y'all old timers - not intentionally! Back in Florida now, but very much looking forward to getting some Alztimers rounds on as soon as I can. Take care, and enjoy. And maybe don't let Ron S win again this year! Miss you guys.

Steve Nolff   July 16, 2020 at 4:08am

Nope. I have an A3 double tournament on Sunday. Have fun Jimmy.

ron simpson    July 14, 2020 at 12:34pm

Hey Josh - I have a question, during a tournament, how do you handle the tags? Each individual round, or the tourney as a whole? ex. player A (lower number) shoots 50/55 for a tourney total of 105, player B shoots 56/54 for a tourney total of 110, but had a lower score on second round. I think it should go according to whole tourney, what say you leader of the graying, and the infirm?

sounds good. It didn't matter, I had the lower score both rounds. I was just questioning where someone could have won the tourney by X amount of strokes, but come away with the lower ranking. And Steve, let's firm things up over there, lol.

ron simpson   July 15, 2020 at 2:53pm

So then Josh, can you change mine and Pauls score from the 11th. I shot 53, 55, and Paul shot 54, 57. I can't alter the scores once entered. Sry, again just refer back to my "infirm" comment, lol.
