AU Disc Golf Handicap League - Summer 2011

I hope we can get a few people to play the tournament this Sunday (8/14). If you've never played Flip City before, it's an excellent course! Just bring lots of water and a couple sandwiches!

Handicap system:
- Players receive a score adjustment after the first recorded round. Score adjustments carry over into successive leagues.
- Score adjustments are calculated by averaging the scores of your previous rounds (only the last 5 rounds). Then, 52 is subtracted from this average score, and the result is multiplied by 0.8. This number is then rounded to the nearest whole number to achieve the score adjustment. So ... more

This number is then rounded to the nearest whole number to achieve the score adjustment. So, adjustment = 0.8 * ([avg score] - 52), rounded to nearest whole number. Each week, the player's adjusted score is determined by subtracting their score adjustment from their raw score.
- Score adjustments are calculated every week.
- After a player has recorded five rounds, his or her score adjustment may never increase (we don't incentivize bad play!).
