Can you Gabe, already having good contact with the city, ask them if there's a way they can mow into the woods holes again before the end of this season?

yes I agree. it needs to be able to actually walk through before major changes like tree removal are done.

Hole 3 from the blues summer 2010. Yes it does not look like that in it's present state but it will be back to that by mid summer next year unless we begin the fight now. Those wood chips and wheel barrels would be well suited to try and cover the fairway. Clear out the dead trees to help make more and look to what needs removed later on down the line. If I recall, we have already taken care of 2/3 trees on that fairway no?

Speaking of safety, those 3 giant animal holes by #8 and the one by #7's white tee could be marked off somehow on the work day? A disc golfer actually broke their leg in one on hole #8 the first year it was in.

Also, Before we trim out trees which would take years to replace and grow we should removed whats laying around a waiting to help someone snap a ankle looking in the bushes for their disc which IMO would be of great concern for the safety of the players no?

It's possible to par it- but it's design doesn't lend for a clear fairway or pure shot to get through as intended, it's really the only tee shot that's not good there imo. Scott, I will look that up..
Gabe- what Ivy?

It is still possible to par (3) from blues out there in it's current condition. Would it not be more prudent to keep the trees and tend to the ivy?

The black plastic conduit tree protectors don't work, they actually lead to bug infestation which many times will kill the tree. I wouldn't recommend it..

Also, I believe a majority would agree we could afford to lose one tree on hole #3- but there should be a vote as to which one, maybe that work day would be a good day to check out options and have a vote for which tree to remove? The idea being making a real fairway from the Blue tee. I'd like to get some of those black plastic tree protecters in too especially on the guard tree on #3's hill and #4.

Sept 9th may be able to, but I'll be doing more work before the event as well. Stump on #6 Blue needs removed, tree on #4 Blue needs about 5-6 people to move it a few feet more out of the way, and if someone can bring a wheelbarrow and shovels, we could get woodchips under the baskets at least.

Saturday would actually be more ideal for myself, but you guys all know I am committed to helping that park and helping the league. Tell me when I need to be there and I'll be there

We need to hold a work day out at WaterWorks and tend to some of the fallen trees in the woods. See if we can find some of the missing Picnic tables and such. I was thinking about holding a work day Sept 8 th or 9 th. Any thoughts from the group would be great. The main goal of this work day would be to work in groups and sweep each hole for dead and fallen trees, Clear out what was once a fire pit on hole 5 and inlay some paver bricks for the tee pads on the open holes.
