I don't think anyone is talking about setting limitations by any means, but I can sympathize with many when it comes to the ace pool. Certain players ONLY tolerate us pirates when it meets their fancy (i.e a wicked High Ace Pool). I can understand why many would feel slatted when week in week out players show up, pay their dollar, and grow that ace pool every week. The issue I think is when the occasional big arm rolls up, tolerates us, pays their dollar, hits the easy ace and drains our pirate booty. I believe in and share Miah's model. If you want to put up with us Pirates for 3-4 hours, getting the full treatment then more power too you and I wish you the best of luck on those rough seas. What I am not a fan of is making it easy. Playing courses like Bando, Brighton High School, Brown Park and such just to make the ace that much easier.....boooooooooooo!!!!!! If your intent is to just walk in and snag that Ace pool, I'm not going to make it easy. I will vote for hard courses and I will set traps along the way to protect our pirate treasure :)

And no Ben, Ace Pool rules are the same...$1 and a 50% pay-out

If 24 Chains was to set up limitations with their ace pool and make it so only a select few were privy to enjoying it's glory we would be taking the steps into becoming a very unwelcoming environment that would promote excluding peoples for what ever reason, Being that we are a fun loving group that caters to beginners IMO we would be becoming what we tried not to be.. Just like the rest.
How would you feel if you join a league round with a "All are welcome" only to find out that you are not allowed to participate in a Optional Side Game?.

Pingree. I can open the course this Friday. Course has seen vast changes since last August-ish when the Pirates of 24CHA!NS last visit. Bring a swim suit if you wanna take a swim or search for discs. Or like Danger Dave, jump in with jeans. Baskets on all holes currently.

Why we here at 24 Cha!ns always encourage there to be more challenge to every player on every level we also encourage good sportsmanship at every turn. One might see an up turn in our players as just a case of the chance to cash increase, but might I remind you that every year we experiance this strange faux happing. One might see an up turn in our players as just a case of the chance to cash increase, but might I remind you that every year we experiance this strange faux happing. Though I will be the first to call out the whimps who have not dared brave the cold icy conditions we muster threw all winter as the summer come in true turn we have a growth in numbers every year. There will always be different views on the growth of these numbers, but I need only remind you of one thing if you choose to see the lesser side of this being they come for money. If that is the case you have the best of opertunity to truely show these gentlemen that pirate treasure isn't so easy to come by. There are two ways to go about this. The way I prefer is to put up your money, and take it home first. Should that option not work out as well as you plan I offer to you a second, and much more 24 Cha!ns option. If that really were the only case they were there, and they were not true to life 24 Cha!ns player there is no way they could ever hit an ace when shinanagins are in full effect. I understand we have had to review how we act when invited to other leagues, and playing with others on their terms. If they join us for our round, and give up their dollar as an offering to the pirates in hope of following our treasure map they must understand that there are many a traps along the way that so few before have been able to over come. Baggers we all are, but only the true of heart can brave the icy waters we set sail in.

One would hope sheldon, one would hope, But there was that whole first card, where the only person who might have been rowdy was schooley. So who knows. Also, mike and I did try to make our card as regular as possible, and if we count you had 5 "regs"

on an ENTIRELY different note, does anyone have friday off, and have any interest in playing Vienna? I had to Miss it due to a wedding the night before that had to get evacuated out of the hotel and blah blah blah.

As for Friday, I suggest a course where getting an Ace is unlikely, maybe some place like Lakeshore, as there arent too many aceable holes. I suggest this because as was evident last week all sorts of random yahoos are coming out of the woodwork to try and steal the Ace Pool that we (well you know what I mean) have been building up.
