2021 Llama Tags Virtual

The 2021 Llama Tag Finale had 48 Llama tag members attend out of 101 total 2021 members. The first round for final tag order was played at Boulder Woods course. Matt H and Derrick R both threw a 51 for the hot round, mostly in the rain. Matt had the better tag to start, so he grabbed the #1 tag for the season. After the round, a potluck lunch was served at the Quaker's Challenge llama picnic area. A second round of doubles was played on the Quake with 42 participants paired according to first round scores. No aces were hit, so, a one-disc throw off was played for half of the ace pot. Congratulations, Sean Freeburn! He was CTP throw off winner and took $115.00 home.

26 players played the last Tuesday Tag round of the 2021 season, including one guest. Josiah Truitt played as a guest throwing a 56. Not too shabby. Josh P and Sean K tied for the low round of 50. Nice shooting, guys. Dave T was close behind with a 51. No aces were thrown, so the ace pot grows to $180.00 for Sunday's Llama Tag Finale. Tags have been played virtual this tag season. The tag finale will determine the final tag standings, including the dispersing of physical Llama tags.

An awesome showing of 27 players played tags, including one guest. Overcast with temps in the mid 60's made pleasant conditions to sling a few discs around. Dan Sidell, former Llama, playing as guest, threw a 'not so shabby' 50 tying the hot round of the evening. Welcome Stuart Craig as our 101st Llama tag member for 2021! Tim Wilson throwing the hot round of 50 grabbed the #1tag from Shaun M. Following close behind were Shaun M and Cody B scoring 51. No aces recorded. The ace pot starts at $157.00 for next Tuesday.

20 Llamas competed for better tags this evening at TNT. Warm & cloudy weather offered comfortable playing conditions. Josh LeValley threw his personal best, 51, to secure the top tag position available. Congratulations, Josh! Close behind were Mike L & Frieda E each scoring a 53. Well done! No aces were thrown. The ace pot increased to $182.00. Then $50 was rolled over to the club, leaving the ace pot at $132.00 to start for next week.

It was sunny in the 70's at the start of tonight's Tuesday Night Tag round. 33 Llamas competed in twosomes for better tags. The hot round was 48, thrown by Josh Alcock and Noah Sowers. Lynn Baker finished next with a 49, Nice shooting! It was good to see Art H, Ray W, and Noah S out on the course again. No aces hit. Next week's ace pot starts at $164.00. Next week's Llama tag round will start at 5:00 pm.

Tuesday night Llama tags had 30 players participate. It was very overcast making the course look dark during the round. We played in twosomes to beat the sunset darkness. John McNett played as guest. Welcome, John! Shaun Manatt shot the hot round of 48, clinching the #1 tag spot from Brandon H. Nice shooting! Matt H and Dustin O came in next with 50 for the evening. Personal Bests were recorded by David B (51) and Ryan K (59) . Well done, guys! No aces were hit. Next week's ace pot will start at $135.00.

30 players, including 2 guests played Tuesday Night Tags. Perfect weather surrounded us during while we threw discs around the course. Joseph Walter and Evan Juraschka, visiting from Memphis TN, played as guests. Zech Lyter bought the 96th 2021 Llama tag. Welcome, Zech, to the Llama herd! Mitch Richwine bought the 90 tag a couple weeks ago and played his first round today. The hot round was 50 shot by Ben Shank and Sean Kowalik! It was a personal best for Sean. A lot of 51s and 52s were also carded. Frieda E threw her 2021 PB of 52. No aces were thrown. The ace pot made it to $160, then $50 was turned over to the club. Next week's ace pot will start at $110. Next turnover will be at $175.

We had great weather for 36 players to play Tuesday Night Tags. Ben Hammen, Bruno Heisner, Stuart Craig, and Zech Lyter all played as guests. Hope you had fun. Low score for the night was 52, shared by 3 players. Brandon Harmon grabbed the #1 tag back again with his 52 score. Other 52 scores were Shaun M and Josh P. Nice shooting! Close behind were seven competitors carding a 53. One of the 53's was Chris Turner, throwing his Personal Best! Congratulations, Chris! Next week we will start playing in groups of three. Ace pot will start at $135.00.

As in typical fashion, 26 Llamas and 4 guests played tonight's tag round without any rain. Playing as guests were James Hippensteel throwing 61, Jordan Yanger with a 67, Stuart Craig 74, and Mitchel Merrit 76. Thanks for joining us. Steve Miller came out of hiding and shot an even par, accomplishing his goal of beating Frieda E by a stoke. The #1 tag changed hands again this week. Tom R and Matt P both shot the low round of 50. Tom R had the better tag to start, so he stands alone at the top with the #1 tag. Matt P grabs the #2. Brandon H, giving up the #1 tag, says, "I'll be Back!". No aces hit. Next week's ace pot starts at $107.

Humidity was high just like the competition in Tuesday's llama tag round. 33 Llamas played, including 2 new members. Welcome back, Dustin O'Brien and first time member, Dan Cannaday, to the 2021 herd. Membership is now at 92, getting closer to my goal of 100. Congratulations to Brandon Harmon for grabbing the #1 tag from Derrick R by shooting the hot round of 46! Derrick secured the #2 tag finishing with a 47. No aces were thrown, so the ace pot reached $135. $50 gets taken out for a backup ace pot. Next weeks ace pot starts at $85.

22 players gathered to compete in a no-rain Tuesday Night Tag round, including 4 guests. Visiting from Kline's Run were Josh & Jesse Heindel and Bobby Leiphart throwing 48. 51, & 54, respectively. Former Llama member, Dustin O'Brien, stopped by shooting a 61. He promises to bring back his dad and buy a tag soon. Lowest Llama round was a 51 thrown by Cody B! Next was 52, thrown by Liam O and Taylor G. No aces were recorded. The ace pot starts at $103 for next week.

It was a wild night for Llama tags last evening. First, we had 6 new Llama tags purchased, bringing us to 90 members for 2021. Welcome five Norse Gods from York Co Disc Golf, Chris Miller, returning Llama, and new members Seth Tuten, Ryan Ellis, Eric Hess, and Kayla Hess. Also welcome Mitch Richwine as our #90 tag member.
We started with 24 players, including a guest. Shortly after the round started a major storm blew through the park, knocking limbs and branches off the trees. Torrential rain blew sideways with trees bending from the force. Lightning caused the round to stop. After about 30 minutes 12 remaining brave Llamas resumed playing and finished the round, including the five Norse Gods. Ryan Ellis banged his drive off 18 basket for an "almost ace"! Derrick R had the low round of 52. Ace pot begins at $91 next week.

Great weather shined upon 33 players today for Tuesday Night Tags. Casey Bechard played as a guest shooting a 68. Thanks for stopping by. Returning Llama, Ken Lemkelde, bought the 84 tag. Ken is also the first player to register for the 20th annual Iron Man tournament, coming up in two months. The hot round was 47 thrown by Matt H, followed close behind by Jason A, shooting a 48. Six lady Llamas competed for better tags in the mix of groups today. No aces were thrown so the ace pot grows to $71 for the start of next week's TNT.

It was a bright, warm, 90 degree evening for disc golf at Boulder Woods this evening's Tag round. 32 players competed for the lowest score, including 1 guest. Mike Curl played as guest throwing a 58. Welcome 3 new llama tag members for 2021. Jeremy Ginnever, Sam Wiley, and Cody McNett all threw a score of 56! Hot rounds were Matt P 47, Shaun M 48, and Matt H 49! Next in line were Zach R & Ben S both with 51. Early in the round, David Bellesfield stepped up to 7 teepad and threw a hole-in-one! Congratulations, David! He is now $93.00 richer. Next week's acepot will start with a backup pot of $50.00.

31 players joined in Tuesday Night Tags last evening, including 2 guests. Guest Josiah Truitt threw a respectable 62. Guest David Eckhart, finding most of the trees with his discs, threw a 74. David has been playing most of York County's courses during his stay at York College. Please welcome new 2021 Tag members. Karl Pass (tag 79) returned for 2021 and first time member, Tyler "T-Bone" Hoffman (tag 80), joined the herd. Matt P brought his "A" game as if he was playing an "A" tier event, throwing a smoking 44! His personal best in this course layout. Derrick R was his closest competition coming in with a 50. The ace pot grows to $73 for next week.

Tuesday Night Tags had 27 players, including 1 guest, competing for their best round. The humidity had the trees swelled to their maximum circumference adding to the challenge. Evan Werner played as guest, throwing a respectable 55. Two new Llama tag members joined the herd. Welcome, Mark McAlister #77 and Dillon Morret #78, to the 2021 Llamas! Three players threw a hot round of 48, thrown by Jason A, Lynn B, and Mark M, followed by Matt P with a 49. Jason Armstrong, hit an ace on hole 7, earning $166.00! Congratulations! Not sure how much he had left after treating a group of players to dinner at the Silver Lake Inn afterwards. Next week's ace pot starts at $50.00.

Another humid night for Llama tag round play consisted of 18 players, including Mitch Richwine as a guest, throwing par 54. Nice shooting Mitch! Jim M defended his #1 tag throwing a 50 with Derrick R close behind with a 52. Next, Taylor G & Ben S tied for 4th with 53. The ace pot increases to $147 for next week.

Llamas love hot weather. 26 Llamas played Tuesday Night Tags with the heat index over 100 degrees! Two new members joined the herd. Welcome Ryan Karlheim and Ben Shank, becoming #75 & #76. Ben S has been practicing on the side, finishing in 4th place. Three players threw in the 40's with Matt P smoking the course with a 45! Zach R & Derrick R finished close behind with 48 & 49! The ace pot grows to $135 for next week.

After the morning rain, the skies cleared for Tuesday Night Tags. 27 players played on a cool evening, including one guest. John Bigley joined us from MD. John has been out of the area for a few years but continues to support the Llamas by sponsoring in all our charity events. Thanks, John. Three new tag members joined the 2021 Llamas. Welcome Tim Wilson, Dan Bellesfield, and Chris Turner, bringing us to 74 club members for the year! The hot round was 51, thrown by Matt P and Taylor G, with Jason A close behind with a 52. Keep an eye on Taylor G, jumping from tag #34 to #6! The ace pot grew to $164.00 with no aces hit. $50 rolls over to the club, bringing next week's ace pot to $114.00.

28 players joined in Tuesday Night Tag fun. Morgan Feick and Dan Bellesfield played as guests. Shaun Manatt bought the 71 tag. Welcome, Shaun! Noah Sowers (1) and Tyler Hamilton (13) turned their tags in for bottom tags until they can schedule time to play. After the #1 tag shift, 8 of the top 10 tags were competing tonight. Jim M & Derrick R tied the hot rounds of 50, while Matt P shot a challenging 51. The ace pot grew to $144.00. If no one hits an ace next week it will roll over $50 to the club.
