2017 Glen Rocs Tag Leage

We had 3 tag members come out for the last State Park tag round of the year. It was a close match despite the the scores. OB and putting came into play big time at the end of the round. Josh wrangled six awesome birdies, but for almost every birdie there was a double bogey to nullify it. Travis put together the best round with only 4 holes he scored over par. The last Saturday tag round will be at Codorus Township Park Saturday at 10 A.M. Sunday is the Tag Finale at Codorus Township Park. Registration will be 8:30 to 9:00 if you are a tag member you are automatically entered. If not it is $20 to join!

We had 6 tag members at Codorus Township Park. Bob Peters takes home the one tag with a 50! See everyone tomorrow for the Halloween Bash. Don't forget to bring a towel!

We had 5 tag members come out to Codorus. Everyone but Wayne had three birdies. TJ had the best damage control taking home the one tag. Adam came out two holes late and took a 4 stroke penalty plus par on each hole. Adam still managed to shoot a 65! See everyone Saturday 10 A.M. @ Codorus Township Park.

Nine Glen Rocs came out to play the Red 18 Am Tee layout. Zach Anders took down the win with a 49 to earn Nine points and extend his lead. Join us Saturday at 10:00 AM at Codorus Township Park for tags.

5 Glen Rocs played Codorus Township Park! TJ dominated through the extremely windy conditions. Putting in the wind was key as well as keeping the drives in bounds. It was an extremely close battle for 2nd with everyone else finishing right at each others necks. Keep posted on facebook groups for where we play Thursday!

11 Glen Rocs came out to play the Blue 18 Codorus Autumn Open Layout. Dylan Davis take the win and the first time with the #1 tag this year. Join us Saturday at 10 AM at the Blue Course. Kyle Cook will be running tags on Saturday.

7 Glen Rocs came out to play the Blue 18 Autumn Open Layout. TJ earns the #1 tag and 7 points. Join us this Saturday for the One Disc Challenge at Codorus Township Park where the Am winner will get a basket if 10 ams register.

12 Glen Rocs and two guests came out to play the 18 Hole Autumn Open Layout. The streak ended as the Garland brothers put an end to Zach "The Smacks" 14 round winning streak. Join us this Thursday as we play the Blue course for the Autumn Open Layout!!!

Nine Glen Rocs and a guest came out to play the Blue 18 Autumn Open Layout Par 63. Zach continues his streak to maintain the one tag and earn nine points. Join us this Saturday at 10:00 AM at Creeping Creek Disc Golf Course at the Rhulman Brewery to play league and practice for the Badfish Open.

Eleven Glen Rocs came out Thursday Evening to play the Red 18 Autumn Open Layout. The #1 Tag was back in the mix as well as the #8 Tag. Zach and Travis post the best scores as Zach takes the #1 tag with tie break by having the better tag going in. Join us this Saturday at Creeping Creek DGC at the Rhulman Brewery in Hampstead, MD to practice for the Badfish Open!!!

Six Glen Rocs came out Thursday evening before the PA State Championship to play the short layout.

11 Glen Rocs and a guest came out in the beautiful weather to play the long layout to practice for states. Zach extends his #2 tag defense streak even longer shooting -2 on the long tee to long pin layout. Big thank you to Zach Anders, Mike Kaiser, Bob Peters and James Plonk for the work done before league. Another big thank you to Matt Ruhlman, Zach Anders, James Plonk and Willie Clarke on clearing the dead tree after the round. Mike Kaiser and Zach Anders will be at the course Sunday morning at 8:00 AM to work on it. Feel free to join us.

5 Glen Rocs made it to CTP and played short tees and blue pins! Bob Peters was the man to beat shooting 8 birdies! We will be at Codorus Township Park again Thursday at 5 P.M.

7 Glen Rocs came out to play a mixed layout to practice for states. Some played long to long and some played short to long. Zach won his fifth consecutive league day extending his point lead even more. Join us Saturday at 10:00 AM at Codorus Township Park. I will not be able to make it on Saturday so let me or Wayne know the scores so we can submit tags.

Seven Glen Rocs came out to play the short layout at Codorus Township Park and practice for the Death Putt Open tomorrow. Zach had eight birdies, but still managed to finish three over par. Join us tomorrow for the DPO.

10 Glen Rocs and a guest came out to enjoy the beautiful day at the course. The round was focused on practicing for the Death Putt Open this Sunday so the Pros and Advanced players played long tees to long pins while the rest stayed on the short tees to the long pins. Zach had eight birdies to defend the #2 tag. We play Saturday at 10:00 AM short tees to short pins to warm up for the DPO. Come on out!!!

10 Glen Rocs attended tags at CTP! Welcome Bob and Tyler to our league! Bob had 9 birdies! Unfortunately it wasn't enough to surpass Zach. They both dominated the field shooting 6 under par! 4 Glen Rocs played the inner loop. During 2nd half we played to blue pins. The first 9 Ken and Wayne were back and forth. Then Wayne fell apart on the island. Ken finished solid to defend his tag. Come on out Thursday to the State Park at 5 P.M.!

Only 2 Glen Rocs braved the wet conditions. It came down to the wire during a sloppy round.

Six Glen Rocs and a guest played the inner loop to practice for the Codorus Township Park Individual Matchplay Tournament that takes place tomorrow. Zach defends the #3 tag. Join us tomorrow for the Matchplay Tournament.

8 Tag members and a guest played a round of Tournament Blue 18. Perkins and TG both shot 64s, but Ken came in with the lower tag to walk away with the 5! Come out and join us at CTP Saturday morning at 10. This Sunday is the Matchplay at CTP! We hope to see you there!

Six Glen Rocs came out to play two rounds of the inner loop layout to practice for the Matchplay Tournament scheduled for May 7th. Zach finished with a 51 to earn the #3 tag. A big thank you to Tim Speier and Michael Kaiser for finishing the tees for holes 5 and 12. It took over 100 buckets of stone to fill them in. Eight Glen Rocs and a guest came out to play an 18 hole par 62 layout (potential new tournament layout). TJ joined the tag league and finished strong to earn the #3 tag. Join us Saturday morning at 10:00 AM when we play at Codorus Township Park.

Ten Glen Rocs came out to Coyote Hills to play tags and compete for the Pennsylvania Heritage A-Tier Qualifier. Linc Morgan crushed the field with a 62 earning him the #1 Tag and an invitation to the A-Tier. Jamie Lepley shot a 67 to earn the #2 tag and an invitation to the A-Tier. Eight Glen Rocs came out to enjoy the short to short layout. Ken Whitestone put on a clinic shooting a personal best 53 (-2). Join us Thursday at Codorus State Park at 5:00 PM at the Blue Course. Next Saturday the Glen Rocs will be in Carlisle Competing for an A Tier invitation for the Pennsylvania Heritage Tournament.

We had four new members join the Glen Rocs Tag League as seven Glen Rocs and one guest played the Blue 20 Tournament layout to prep for the Codorus Spring Open on 4/1/17. Linc Morgan Lit it up shooting par on the course with some killer shots. Join us Saturday 10:00 AM at Codorus Township Park for our tag league. Zach will be at the course at 8:00 AM to level the new tees and spray the island for 17. Feel free to come help him.

Six Glen Rocs braved the brutal cold wind for short am layout. Ken Perkins did the best damage control and took some birdies in the woods to earn the #1 tag by 5 strokes!!!

We are very grateful to have volunteers to put in their time and effort. Jason Sullivan, Josh Mayberry, Michael Kaiser and Zachary Anders worked hard to get the am tees of 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 16 filled which required over 100 buckets of millings. Thank you for your hard work that keeps improving our course!!!
