2015 WINTER Virtual Bag Tag League Rules
Conduct
1. Everyone is on their honor to conduct themselves according to the rules and within the spirit of competition. Have fun. It's only a tag. The purpose of the Virtual Bag Tag League is to encourage friendly competition among disc golfers.
2. No physical/actual tags will be issued as part of this league. Players can obtain a “virtual tag†by playing one of the regularly scheduled league events.
3. Challenges between members are encouraged but not required.
4. The Official League Rules, Scores, Tag Status & History, etc. is located on
http://www.discgolfscene.com/leagues/2015_DFOK_Winter_Virtual_Bag_Tag_League_2014
League Events
1. League will run from December 7th through April 1st.
2. League will be held every Sunday at 1:30pm
3. A league schedule will be posted on discgolfscene.com
4. League will rotate between Fairmont, Warner, and Tuttle Creek.
5. Check in will start at 1:15 P.M.
6. During league events all scorecards must be turned in for scores to be recorded.
7. Players who check in for an event but does not turn in a scorecard will receive a DNF and will receive the highest numbered tag from this event.
8. Members must play in at least ONE scheduled Sunday League Event per calendar month to keep their tag “Currentâ€.
9. On the first day of each month, players who have not kept their tags “Current†will be shuffled to the bottom of the tag list. In other words, re-assigned the highest (worst) tag number already issued at that time. Thus all “Current†tag league members will slide up into those spots, in their current order, to fill the above described non-current tag vacancies.
Challenges
1. Challenges MUST be verbally agreed upon at the beginning of EACH round.
2. Challenges can be by phone, computer, or in person. It is preferred to use the Virtual bag tag League page on Discgolfscene.com.
3. If a player accepts the challenge, the challenged player picks the course, tees and format. Report all rounds to the league page on Discgolfscene.com as outlined under the reporting portion of the rules.
4. Incomplete round: If a player does not complete a bag tag challenge round, the exiting player loses the round and receives the highest numbered tag in the group If play is stopped by all players before the round is complete, no tags are exchanged.
5. Challenges can be made between individuals, or a group of player’s altogether. Group challenges play like league, or tournament events, with tags exchanged according to the outcome of each league member in the group. (As DFOK league members, please be respectful of other people using the course and limit group sizes accordingly
Tournaments
1. All Players participating in a local event (at Tuttle, Fairmont, or Warner courses) are automatically playing for Tags against other league members.
2. The total number of strokes for the tournament shall be used to determine the tag numbers won/lost. After Tournaments, tags will distributed by score at the end of the tourney not round by round. If there is a tie the winner will be decided by who had the lowest (best) tag coming into the tournament.
3. If players decide to play for tags in a non-local tournament players using different tees/pin placements in tournaments are competing against only other players using the same course layout. (Ex the GBO has different divisions playing at different courses
Ranking
1. Initial Tags will be issued on December 7th by a result of the first week of league at Fairmont Park. Best scores at league will receive Virtual Bag Tags in the order of finish. Lowest score gets lowest tag. All Ties will be played off in sudden death format.
2. Players may join the league at any time during the league season and receive the next available tag number. A player must participate in a scheduled Sunday League Event to first obtain a tag number.
