Congratulations to Chad Andrews for a great round of disc golf tonight. He and Dennis Hills came from behind to take first place with a birdie on the very last hole. Their final score was 12 under par 42. The highlight of the round was Chad's $260 ace on hole 14. He won the current optional ace pool and the 2012 $100 ace pool that was not won last year. Great job Chad. It was a pleasure being on your team tonight.
Tonight was the first night the group was divided into A and B tiers. Each team consisted of an A tier player and a B tier player. As is always the case. Some played better than others and went home with a little cash. It was a hot breezy night. The wind made the heat more bearable but caused the scores to be a little higher than usual. A first place tie was resolved by Sudden Death which lasted only 2 holes. Three more players bought into the optional Ace Pool bringing the pool to $150.
21 players competed tonight for cash at the Ottawa Memorial Park. Thanks to everyone who came and congratulations to the 5 teams who took home the cash.

Ray Gruber and Chad Andrews ended up in a first place tie with Dennis Hills and Steve Traucht. We all agreed to go into sudden death on hole 9. That was all it took. Ray threw short and ended up directly behind a large tree. Chad threw long and ended up behind another tree. Steve threw very short and Denny hit the same tree that Ray's disc was behind but had a clean lie 30 feet short of the basket. Ray and Chad both missed their putts from Chad's lie but Denny's putt was on target and landed in the basket for the win.
Two great rounds guys. It was a great night.
