Here it is : The Final Report Card for SummerzCool Semester .
We had an awesome attendance record and Final Pot ended up being $169.00 Points ended up being worth FIFTY CENTS a piece and we paid out full shares of point money to top 5 of 29 Point Earners. We have paid out the top 40 % of points earned in the season (345 out of 864) in the past. Scraps would traditionally go to the next finisher . I am going to change that to giving the top 3 prize earners the scrap in a Gold SIlver Bronze sort of pay out scheme for them. So Below is the Finals Pot Payouts with bonus money for top 3 included :

I am excluding all scores from the handicap formula used on this site and used by us previously. I'll have a two pager for anyone who is interested in seeing what this weeks results would have looked like under the old system .

The Juneteenth 19 really blew my mind .... Thanks to everyone who can out and played on what was a pretty warm but GORGEOUS day. Next week will be end of our current season. We have enough in the pot to pay out perhaps our top half dozen players for the season. It's supposed to be another scorcher next week and the pool should be all set and ready to go so if you like bring your suits , a towel or two and all are welcome to come celebrate after the match with a dip and perhaps some grilling to feed the masses as well. Just do me a favor and give me a shout if you think you may join us post round.

Dan Took Home $40. Mark and I each took home $37 Greg took $30 and Rob took out the balance of $19.00 of what would of been $24 if he was paid out full. Each point was worth .572 cents . I rounded to make life easier and more rich for bottom payout generally

We need to decide when to start the new season . Do we call it done and start tomorrow or do we let it ride a little since the last few weeks have been hit but mostly miss. I'm fine either way . We've already started with the spring clean up and repairs but there will be plenty more to come

Corner of Avery HIll Road ( & 2) turn right up the gravel road across from Avery Hill Road . I would encourage carpooling and making sure your vehicle can make it up a road like that . Lists of volunteers are not being collected and you need to submit your hours to Mike Schwartz as the Tournament Director of the Season Finale.

This round will not count towards handicaps! Because if there are folks who are playing the long tees I'll allow them to break out into their own cohort if they desire and agree to below .

Whites will still play for points, which will be based on # of White Tee players . I may also make an adjustment to the raw score before adjusting for the HC in this case to account for the par difference.

Blues either won't play for points or perhaps I'll award points to them based on their numbers. Uncertain at this point if I might consider adjusting raw score before implementing HC, or use it at all.

This is everyone's chance to provide input on the scoring/handicap portions of the change.

All other DiscBeat Club rules remain in effect.

Back to Normal Tee Time since the weather isn't oppressive. This is week 15 which is where we discussed closing out the finals pot and payout the first 40% of points earned. So we will be doing that and then next week we'll start a short summer session. I am hoping a lot of you educators out there will jump on board and join us now that school is out . We'll wrap that season up around Labor Day in time for your return to the classrooms.
Finals Pot right now is $157 plus a $1.00 a person Thursday.
40% of total points right now would allow payouts five deep .
Point value: 40 % (272) of total number of points awarded during the season ( 679) divided into the pot value number ($157) . Currently a point is worth 0.58 cents.
Ace Pot sitting @ $55.00 CTP this week will be Hole 10.

We'll be anchored here for the next year. Players have been imported from last season. Handicaps have come along and tags are now in play. Since tags are only for members who have a handicap - we will use handicaps for them. That means you are going to need to know what your handicap is when you go to report tag matches played outside of league play on Thursdays. If you forget it you can look it up here on the leaderboard or via the "Players" link to the left (in green). Still have 9 tags left for anyone who is qualified for one ( need a handicap) . At this point it's first come first served for any remaining tags - regardless of where you were point total wise at the end year one.
