Yeah I played all through last winter also. We finally get a decent course and you're going to pull it?

I agree with KC. I must have played 2 times a week last winter before it was done. What good is a closed park?

Wickes Woods is included in the normal park facility winterization schedule. From November 1st to April 1st all Saginaw Township Parks are considered closed which means the gates will be locked and bathrooms closed. The baskets on Wickes Woods course will also be pulled. Please plan your playing time accordingly.

I just moved to the area to attend SVSU and have been looking for some good competition to play with in the area along with some good courses. If anyone is willing to show this out-of-towner around, let me know!

What are the different tees for this course? Like are there different layouts?

If you are playing pro par make sure you enter your score as on white tees, blue tees say par is 58.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone has any plans to start a league or if a league is already going for Wickes. Me and my roommates have been playing there a lot and would love to play with some experienced players! Singles or doubles!

Yep it's got 18 playable holes in now. Just needs some trees taken out on hole 12 and it'd be perfect.

course is looking amazing...there is now tee pads on every hole...now we need some more hole signs and clear 12 up and it'll be an amazing course

I agree with Lammi there is a difference between a challenge and pure luck. A few trees here and there will make the course challenging and not all luck.

Please feel free to stop out to the course and see Garry who is the crew leader on site. Garry and Tony are also players and welcome your constructive suggestions. they will be there this week from 9am-3pm thru Friday. The course was designed to be recreational but also challenging.
