I left my orange XL out on the course, I think on hole 18, let me know if you found it. Also, we lost a tie dyed Sidewinder on 16, so it was somewhere by 16 or 17. If you find it, let me or Church know cause it has someone else's name and number on it. Thanks.

I birdied hole 11 last night glowing...(joe w, Nick b, ferrel, james r were there) my drive went through the right side of the forest, seemingly an impossible lane. It landed right next to the 2 trees right before the basket. Stuck the put. I may never do that again in my lifetime. Oh and the new 8 pad is kick ass, but scary to throw. Disc shoes was also alot of fun! we should consider throwing a glow disc shoe tournament in the near future.

Greetings Disc Golf Community,

On Thursday, July 29, 2010, the Whitehall Disc Golf Club will be organizing a work "party" at the course. There will be a few people out there most of the day, but the official start time will be at 6:00 (feel free to stop out whenever it is most convenient for you). We will provide food and beverage to those who participate. Most of the stuff we are doing is easy, and can be easier with more people helping out.... There will be 1 or more tractors ... more

hey guys and gals;

After leagues some of us did the preliminary work on the "Disc Shoes" area. Thursday we will put in the baskets, using four of the replaced baskets that are in good enough condition. Should something happen to these we are reserving four of the new baskets.

Thanks go to Brian, Tim, Andy, Nick, Hyatt, Bill E., and others I am sure I missed for their help in the prep work. This area will help all of us improve our putting and approach accuracy.

Remember work n ... more

This is simple people. We can still have sanctioned tourneys at Whitehall. I can get with Brian and arrange to hold a tournament. All of the money that is raised from the tournament is then turned over to the township...simple. I do not expect to make money from disc golf. I have a job that pays me money (actually two), disc golf is my mode of relaxation (throwing plastic through the woods is my mode of relaxation).....I would have no problems holding tourney's to watch the park grow.. ... more

What sucks is we COULD have had more.... whether it would have been sanctioned tournaments, or additional (we should be able to still) WTDGC sponsored tournaments throughout the year...
The state, the township (government) is non-profit, therefore there shouldn't be an issue holding a tournament where ALL the proceeds go back towards maintenance/improvements...The State Park system went to a self-sustained operating system a few years back when they weren't supported by the "Gene ... more

Politics and Disc Golf should never be mentioned in the same sentence. I guess sometimes its just better to let sleeping dogs lye.

Anyone else can feel free to add an analogy here:

Here is the official staus of holding anything @ the course... There will be 1 league and basically one tournament a year at this course... All money raised from any event must go back to the township.(This is a State Law) This sucks because it would be nice to have a sanctioned event out there. Second if you know of anyone holding a tournament/travel league, WE MUST REPORT THIS TO THE WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP BOARD, SO WE CAN MAKE SURE NOT A PENNY OF PROFIT IS MADE.. However lucky for us West Michiga ... more
