I would place Water Works among my two or three favorite courses. The most striking feature is the hills, of course. They are fun, scenic, and challenging, forcing you to take care when dialing in your throws. While often dramatic, I don't find them so extreme as to make playing or walking the course difficult or uncomfortable (maybe it would be, if the course was very wet or snowy, I don't know).
The layout is superb -- a nice piece of property well used. The holes are close together a ...

Terrain change is abundant in this beautiful course. The pin placements are scattered throughout the park in a nice variety of wooded and wide open shots. Wind; yeah it's a factor, but it will make your game that much better. When in KC, and you have your bag w/you, stop in and play. You won't be mad at yourself for taking time to play this course, but your legs might be a tad bit upset.

Amazing course, Beautiful rolling hills every where, lots of big trees, fun and technical course. One of the best if not the best course in Kansas City

Wow. The very first hole sets the tone. Distance, down a tree lined valley. Amazing. Thanks Sam Blake for showing me the course!

Good course with a variety of shots. One of the more popular courses in the area.

Great course with many greens placed on hills, go for the two and potentially get a four or pansy it in for your 3. Choose wisely

Solid well rounded, well taken care of location. Outstanding use of terrain in place of distance in several spots. Challenging course. You have to have a full bag of skills to play well.

WOW... What a course, too many pluses to even try to list. What an experience, like my first roller-coaster ride.

Fun course to play but confusing to play for the first time, could use MUCH better signage as most of the signs are blank. I think I counted a total of ONE sign that had a legitimate image of the hole. Lots of big hills so be prepared for rollaways. Also, pretty cool views of KC while playing the course!

Beautiful old-growth trees on rolling hillsides; great view of the KC skyline; well-maintained cement pads; challenging elevation changes and a plethora of shots necessitating digging deep in the quiver.

it was tough for my first experience but overall it was great to get out to a new course. I will be going back soon!

Best course I've play in the 9 months I've been playing.Do not pass this course up if you're in the area. It is a must if you are in the area. I would highly recommend playing this course for all skill levels, but expect a challenge. You must visualize and execute the shape of every shot. This course will highlight the weak areas in your game.
This was a very humbling experience for someone who has seen their game improve and expected to have a pretty good round. The elevation changes on drive ...

Not very long, but a lot over great elevation change for fun up shots and putts.

I believe this course to be one of the most challenging in the city. No matter what placement the basket is in, you can count on a challenge... With the hills and trees!!! try and not get Water Worked,,, :-)

A great course that will challenge your skills and your conditioning! Very fun to play.

This course is great! It is a workout, has elevation change, requires long shots, technical shots, and very careful approach shots. This course is notorious for very long roll aways when your shot isn't perfect, or even if it is and hits a root, stick, rock, squirrel, etc.

This course is badass with the downtown in the background, the hills can get you if you aren't careful. If I lived there, I would play this course a lot.

Only thing that needs to be updated are some of the tee pads. Other than that, this is by far my favorite course. Challenging, yet can be very rewarding. Great mix of woods golf and big tee shots. Lots of elevation changes. Some of the best views in Kansas City. Bring your best golf and try not to get water-worked.

a 19 hole course, first time playing after breaking my toe. the improvement mad to mid west am are great, cause two was just far to easy. rest plays very well with proper coarse maintenance. if the rollers were diminished it would be near impossible.

Tons of hills- not for people who are out of shape and trying to stay that way. Great course, tons of technical challenges.

Was not that great of a course. I never found a couple of holes so I am really not sure what I got on the course. To steep and to rough of a course for me to really like it. I think if I played with someone who knew the course I would have liked it a lot more.

Avoid this course at all cost! The layout & topography was good. But,the baskets are hard to locate & blend in to the scenery. The course is poorly maintained, it is riddled with debris. Oh & to top it off, while I was approaching the basket on whole 7 I saw two 60 year old men having oral sex with each other in the open at 10am on a Monday. So I almost threw up & won't ever go back!
