This is a course that you might hate to love because it is so hard but fun, not to mention you get tons of exercise walking around on the hillsides. You have to pay a couple dollars to play but it is worth it, you get a free map that has a scorecard too, very well organized pro shop with tons of plastic to choose from. Also be weary of windy days, this place can get crazy windy, but that adds to the challenge as well as the frustration sometimes.

This course would have been a B+/A- if it were not for the rude man that runs the pro shop. He set the tone for the course and it was as if dark clouds moved in on our sunny day. Wonderful pin placement and excellent tree canopy makes this a tricky and fun challenge. I would not mind the hour drive again however I am not looking forward to paying my two dollars to an unhappy man who might ruin my day.

Played the front 9 today and loved this course. Lots of trees but they are trimmed and didn't eat any disks. The benefit of the trees, shade and on hot days in Southern California a course with lots of shade will get a bump up in preference. The holes weren't super long but there were a few that had the basked placed behind trees to make them more technical. They guy that was in the Pro Shop was very nice. Can't wait to go back and play the back 9 which will longer (but with less shade).

Veterans Park, also called 'Sylmar' after the city that it's located in. Was a really fun course, some good elevations and obstructed shots. Well marked, and very scenic with the mountains in the background. I especially enjoyed this course because I ran into local pro and Legacy Discs owner Steve Rico and he invited me to play the back 9 with him! Highly recommended it you are in the area, I drove out from Woodland Hills and it wasn't a bad drive.

My first California Huckin experience wasn't a bad one. Nice Pro shop, if unwelcoming staff would put forth a little more effort, it could be great. $2 a day is nice if you're going to make a day of it, and rental discs available for $1 deposit for newbs. Cops were around to keep drinking and smoking away so it's a nice family park too. Well maintained grounds, medium trees, some fun holes, and enough elevation to make it matter. Lots of layout options with long tee pads sprinkled in and 3- ...

Great course, challenging holes that change every few weeks. I've played this course many times and actually learned the game here.

I liked the layout. Maintenance is required for Tpads. I DO NOT like the thorns all on the floor on the back part of the course, because my dog was suffering.
