There has been plenty of work done in the last 6 months here in Bridgeport. We haven't installed concrete tees as soon as we had planned, but recently have installed artificial turf on all tees not covered with concrete, so no more muddy, watery tee shots! This has improved the course greatly! It looks a little strange being so green in the the dead of a grey and brown winter, but beautiful now that green is coming! Most important, the tees are awesome! We have also been cleaning up the fai ...

Love this course!! We have put in a lot of work over the past few years and continue to push. The course now has all turf and concrete tee pads and is playing better than ever. We have been working hard to cut back invasives and create a safe, garbage free course. The new practice area is a great addition and there are so many more good things in the works. Come out and enjoy the course. There is now a full trail map and lost disc return on hole one. Now that basket and pin locations are finalized tee signs will be good up asap.

once the locals put in the tee pads (rumored to be happening over the next two months), this course has the potential of being one of the best courses in CT. great design went into each hole. true golf shots on every hole, no quirky holes anywhere. each hole can easily be a "swing" hole come tournament time.

Well designed course, with a great mix of holes. A mix of concrete and turf tee pads, which are all well maintained.

Very enjoyable course. I love the practice area which consists of a large open area with an American flag on top of the basket to give you wind direction while practicing short and long distance approaches. The course itself is mainly all in the woods, but the holes are laid out very nicely with open fairways carved out between the trees. I saw deer standing next to the baskets and the course itself is very beautiful. The only trick to this course is finding the next tee box, which I found out i ...

Stop whatever work you are doing on the course and get tee signs in and next tee markers up !!!!!!!!!! The park has paths all over and the most litter I have seen on a course yet.
It needs tee boxes also. It has been in for years now and has had several tournaments and I gather a regular league.
Put the $ into the course !!!!!!!!!!
Overall great hole design, seems like the basics were skipped. Don't build a castle on sand.............

A Fun course to play. The underbrush through the woods is a bit thick, and one of the things that keeps this course from getting a higher score. The Tee Pads leave something to be desired, I am not a big fan of natural Pads. After the recent rains it made for some slippery drives. I got lost on hole 5 and had to scout out a bit to find the right direction to throw my disc. I really liked the how the terrain was used, and the stone walls that run through out the course.

I like the design of the course. You have a choice to play the front 9 or the back 9 which is handy if you don’t have a lot of time. This park receives a decent amount of traffic including runners, mountain bikers, and even some dirt bikers. Yeah, definitely watch out for the prickly brush.

Cool course, but could use tee boxes. Lots lots of glass and cans on the ground, needs regular cleaning.

What a great course. It was tough, as always, seeing & playing the course for the first time. Walking up to the course I always hope I run into a local.

Challenging, most are in the woods. Some elevation. They use a strand of duct tape in a basket to indicate the direction of the next tee. And all 18 holes now have nice tee signs.

The work has continued to develop Veteran's Memorial Park into a CT gem. We now have brand new baskets with hole numbered flags on top, direction arrows to guide unfamiliar players, and 18 well maintained turf tee pads. Invasive growth has been cut further back, making for much more pleasant rounds for all skill levels. Garbage pickup has always been an issue, but the city and volunteers have made further strides to a clean park.

This is a really good and challenging course. Don't let the "Park" in the name fool you: it's a solid woods course through and through. The holes are fair and the lines are visible - although as a first-time player, I had to walk a bunch of the holes to find the basket. And the particular challenge here is the basket placements: many are raised, and it's rocky - so there's almost always the risk of a devastating bounce and rollaway!
