The old coarse had a serious problem with lost discs, the endless sea of palm and briar made games that should have only taken about an hour drag on sometimes to as long as 3 hours from spending 10 - 15 minutes hunting for discs on most drives on the central holes.

The course is considerably better then the 18 hole in quality (I have it minus a letter strictly for being a 9 hole) and dropped it another letter as the road is very much in play on a few holes and poses a safety issue to passing drivers. 485' drive where a right back hand or left fore hand puts your ideal throw straight over the road... The course is actively being improved, hopefully we'll be able to make this particular issue better in the near future.

The old course had some interesting holes that were a good challenge for the college player. It wasn't mowed much but was played enough that it didn't have to be mowed much.

College courses should be 'sandal-friendly'. This course isn't even 'shorts-friendly'. I'm a 1k-rated player. I played it twice and bled both times. 3 fairways run along a busy campus road. The course was designed by a college staffer who doesn't even play the game. One of Florida's largest campuses and one Florida's lousiest courses. Pity.
The old classic course brought hundreds of people into the game. This course is turning people away from the game. I would expect more from an establishment of higher learning.

Easy.. Flat. FUN. Some course flaws. Walk back 8 to play 9. Looking at 14 basket on 13 tee pad. Some holes too short. Be Warned! I lost a disc on #8. There is an unguarded drain pipe about 10 ft. from 8's basket.
