This private course is the most under estimated course in Grand Rapids! A diamond in the rough! A very well designed, 21 hole course with permanent concrete tee pads and baskets. Doug, the owner, has 4 hand made tire baskets that catch everything. Nothing is over 325ft and yet the course is suitable for the beginner and interesting enough for the pros. All birdie opportunities and yet bogies and double bogies abound. This course teaches the importance of upshots like none other. A haven of p ...

Great course with a great owner! Lots of fun to play. Doug will school you out there, but he'll also buy you a taco if you impress him on the course.

Fine touch shot course. Beautifully manicured and charming as heck. Like many private courses on small patches of land there are crisscrossing fairways and shared baskets which would be a major flaw on a public course but perfectly fine for a private course. Not a single dumb hole. This is a course which will teach you precise short drives and obstructed putts.

3 acres is a diamond in the rough backyard course in Grand Rapids. Doug has done an amazing job making the most of his 3 acres! This course can be a birdie or bogey on any hole and offers a great opportunity to practice upshots and placement with lots of OB and island greens. There are many fun bonus side games like the taco putt and 3 disc tee on the last 3 holes. Cement tees, custom signs, and custom baskets are all a huge plus. If you're looking for a really fun round with great people, contact Doug and play 3 Acres! :-)

One of my favorites to play. Playing a full round there will test all your shots from 300' and in.

One of the best mixes of short touch shots with a nice sprinkle of distance shots and the best finishing hole I have ever played. Thanks Doug, we will be back

What a treat....3 acres used creatively to make for a fun, " unique " course...oh yeah, quite the challenge as well. Each hole offers something different and requires some course management. I really enjoyed Dougs story and appreciated the hard work put into his backyard oasis...fun land!. The taco shot is great, and plan to play hole 21 over a few times...and just maybe, as Doug explains hole 21, he will ace it like he did when I played with him. Give Doug a call and plan a trip to 3 acres!! ...

This is one of the funnest courses I have ever played. I was lucky enough to be the one to name it. Glad Doug likes it :) You will have to throw over/under/through and around left and right. Longest hole is 350ish. Don't hit your car on the taco hole (saw Eric Karloski break his taillight, you just can't buy that entertainment). There is a hole where you skim it along the fence which is ridiculously fun. You just might throw 5 shots at it. Doug made a set of really nice metal tee signs himself a ...

This course is awesome! Well maintained, with a really cool mix of homemade and commercial baskets that all catch well. Each hole has a unique set of challenges that will test every kind of disc golf shot. Most of the holes force you to choose which route/disc to use because of the multiple options that are available. The course also has some really creative and fun rules that you won't get anywhere else (taco putt and the 3 in 1 hole). Lots of OB keeps even the simple holes challenging and difficult to master. Overall, playing here is always a great time and keeps you coming back for more.

This course uses 3 acres of land to the maximum potential. The course layout, signage, and hospitality are all amazing! The course also incorporates a lot of fun mini games like the Taco Putt and CTP3!

Very fun course to play with very unique holes/baskets. Won't find another one like it. For only 3 acres of land Doug sure did a great job on the layout & he really makes it an interesting round if you ever get the chance to play here. Always a good time!

If you thought you knew what disc golf courses should look like, you were wrong until you've played here. I've never seen space utilized so well, let alone have more than 18 holes in a space most people would maybe fit three. Doug, you are a mad disc golf genius and I commend you for all the hard work, creativity, and love you have poured into your little disc golf paradise. Keep up the good work and keep those condors flying.

I've been fortunate to witness the growth of this course from it's first rounds to it's most current! Three Acres is the most underestimated technical course that's great for every skill level. If you need to practice your putts and upshots, this course will teach you how to always be on your A-game. The owner, Doug, is a phenomenal dude that truly loves the sport and does everything in his power to make his 3 acres the best private course in town. This is my favorite course to play before tourn ...

Three Acres is an incredible backyard surprise. 21 Holes well laid out on a medium sized property. Some of the holes play off the same baskets, but with creativity and well thought out design its a very enjoyable course to play that challenges new players and pros alike. The real highlights of this course are the unique house rules, the individual hole designs that compliment each other well and the owner of the property Doug Diekman. He has a heart for people and growing the sport of disc g ...

I played this course for the first time today and enjoyed every minute of it. Plenty of ace runs. The holes are relatively short but don't be fooled...each one requires some sort of technical or precision shot. The OB's add a bonus difficulty factor, yet the OB areas are not too hard to find and get your disc back. Doug, the owner, is a great guy who was very welcoming. I might have to go get me a Condor after today!

this was my favorite course so far, had a great time playing with Doug and a few other guys. Every hole has its own touch of character and a little gimmick. Feels like a huge course. Beyond the wooden fence is like wonka land for disc golf. Check it out for sure

One hidden gem of a course! Offers a wide variety of technical and power throws. If you want to improve your shots in difficult situations, this course may teach you how to gain that upper hand on your competitors. The course is owned by a very welcoming owner that may even play with you if you so choose. Definitely going to go back!

Doug has done a great job with the construction and layout of Three Acres Park! His knowledge and passion for the sport is clear when you have the chance to play the course. Three Acres Park offers a multitude of different drives/approaches/putts that allows you the chance to test your skills for a lower score or the option to play it safe. I had an absolute blast playing with Doug and his hospitality is 2nd to none. He was more than happy to show me tips and tricks to not only play Three Acres ...

This is an amazing course that forces you to play shots you normally don’t think about. We were lucky enough to get to play with the owner who showed us around and gave some tips. As someone who’s played flip, the Kensington courses, etc this course is very different but should rank just as highly!

Great course and will be back but next time I’m bringing a condor.

Amazing technical course. Doug gets very creative with the layout having 24 holes and 12 baskets but utilizes the baskets perfectly it feels like you're playing different courses throughout the round. He's also a super nice guy, good player, and all in all one of the more enjoyable experiences I've had discing.

Awesomely creative course on a very unique property. There is a limited amount of space, but this course is very efficient in using what's available. Very fun, technical holes. Also Doug is a hoot and a half to play with, and very kind/welcoming.

This course is awesome! It allows you to work on all aspects of your game! Doug has created so many amazing concepts from really high baskets to the “taco putt” which is a fun addition that you will have to experience for yourself. Doug is the architect behind this super fun course. He is a great guy and really fun to be around! Next time I’m there I’m going to ace the fence hole!

Doug did an amazing job with this course. All of the space is efficiently used to create unique holes that are fun to play, varying in distance, and no two holes are alike. The creativity needed to build this course with the space is awesome. On top of a great course, Doug was a ton of fun to play with, really into disc golf, and made the round fun for everyone. Definitely will be returning sooner rather than later!

Three Acres:

- Deceptively difficult: tight fairways, ever-present OB, need to hit your lines
- Full of character: creative use of property, 'homemade' (but still professional) additions spread throughout the course...reflects the personality of the designer

Fun, unassumingly challenging course - good luck beating Doug's course record!
