Planning for charity events for two of our local disc golfers are under way. I am looking for sponsors to help with donations for prizes and raffle items to help raise some funds to help some of our own out. If you have any ideas or contacts that you think could help, please let me know. The first event will be September 13th to help raise money for Mike Broda. plans are in progress for an indoor putting league this winter!!! it may be alternating weeks from east to west side to allow all a chance to participate. still checking on venues and some other specifics, but this should be fun for all and allow some great practice during the crappy cleveland winter months. if you have any ideas or suggestions, including venues, please let me know. i'd like a minimum of 50 feet by 20 feet of space to make this successful. keep an eye and ear out for more info coming very soon!!!

could be a wet one for Euclid Monday Night Scrambles at Sims Park Disc Golf Course tonight...but we are still on!! CTPs for cash and prizes will be in play tonight, with a 2015 Ice Bowl Wizard Putter and Ice Bowl stash mini up for grabs along with the daily $$$ CTP. $5 entry for the scramble, $1 for the ace fund, $1 for the $$$ CTP, and $1 for the prize CTP for $8 total if you want in on all the fun!! The prize CTP will be on hole 4 this week, and the $$$ CTP will be a random drawn hole as usual

lost an unlace last night during scrambles on hole 2....it held straight and never made the turn and hit high in the tree tops at the top of the hill and disappeared. it may still be up in the trees. it's white, red, green, and blue and has my info on it. reward and a thousand thank yous if found and returned.

Just got a call from Scout Troup 585 out of mayfield. They are going to be doing a general trash pickup of the course on Tuesday, July 28 in the evening. Thank them if you see them! They might also follow up in August to help prep for The CLE Rock too!

we may have an opportunity to have disc golf pro and legend Scott Stokely to host a clinic and scrambles at Sims Park Disc Golf Course on 7/27/15. The clinic would run 5-6:15, with scrambles starting at 6:30. There would be a $12 fee for entry that will include the clinic and the scramble. The scramble will be paid out in discs supplied by Fly High Discs, who sponsors Scott. I would like some feedback on this before committing. Thoughts??

awesome! i've gotten a good amount of feedback between here and facebook, so this will be a go. it sounds like more of a group demonstration than a clinic, but it will still be cool to have a pro show some of us the proper way to throw. i'll have the event and info posted on here by tomorrow once I get finalized details. But it sounds like July 27th will be the day.

What about Force Sports, or whatever is called now?...I was thinking their one side (basically an indoor football field) would be good for mid range ctp's or accuracy contests too. Not sure about rental costs, but if the event was big enough it could be worth it.
