The course has had some major improvements over this and previous summers. Foliage has been cleaned up on every fairway, shot lines have been opened up to a more familiar look for those who have played the course over the years. As Miles said, every basket is now double chained as well, with a beautiful land bridge now between #14 and #15. Course still needs to have tee signs with distances for every hole and an announcement board with course layout on it, both of those are currently in the works to be installed end of fall, beginning of spring. There are 30 pads (cement and turf), 28 baskets, 12 different 18 hole layouts, and 3 11 hole loop layouts! The white baskets are for the shorts, yellow baskets are shorts or longs and blue baskets are left ngs. Lightly wooded, mild elevation, water hazards and mostly wide grass fairways. A combination of short technical shots and bomber shots. Some punishing roughs, particularly on the back 9. The pond comes into play on holes 2,3,18. Disc selection is important, especially with the usual windy conditions). Accuracy and shot placement is key. Well designed holes that require a variety of shots. Creative (DISCatcher Pro) basket placement . Holes 1, 3, 8, 11, 13, 16 and 17 all play from one cement pad. The other holes have a combination of new shorts and longs quality turf pads. The pads are relatively short for the longer hole runups. This course is beautiful, well maintained and drains very well. Hole 2 is the signature hole over the pond. Hole 18 isn’t far behind with an elevated basket near the pond that may require a death putt. It also has 3 pads. There are a few mandos and OB’s on some holes, including the parking lot, road and softball field. Navigation is easy with new tee posts. Hole maps signs and next tee signs are in the works. Bring bug spray and and sunscreen. Overall, maintenance is superb, the grass is frequently mowed, most holes have benches and trash cans, and there is a restroom facility located on the drive to the gravel parking lot. My ONLY concern is that the course is very difficult to play in the winter because because the pads are rarely salted, shoveled and cleared.

Bombers probably love this place, as the average length for each hole is 344 feet, with six par 3 holes ranging greater than 400 feet and one par 4 on hole 18 which is over 500 feet. However, without short tees, this course only caters to big arms. However, without short tees, this course only caters to big arms. Add in the fact that this place is ALWAYS windy, anyone who isn’t consistently averaging 320 feet from the tee pad should probably steer clear of this place if scoring well is important to you. If your main joy in disc golf is to smash throw after throw, this is your spot. However, if you’re like me and want a little more variety, Seymour won’t provide that type of experience.

(09/13/2020) After some recent rough clearing, this course is one of my favorites. Has a great mix of 400+ foot holes and holes in the 200-300 foot range. Course has fair obstacles in trees, as well as a great mix of dogleg lefts and rights. The best part of the course is that it appears to be unaffected by recent rain or rough weather. (09/13/2020) After some recent rough clearing, this course is one of my favorites. Has a great mix of 400+ foot holes and holes in the 200-300 foot range. Course has fair obstacles in trees, as well as a great mix of dogleg lefts and rights. The best part of the course is that it appears to be unaffected by recent rain or rough weather. Always in great condition to play.

(04/25/2021) Loving the new alternate basket layouts. Wasn't the biggest fan of the alternate pin locations on 4 and 6, but they should be awesome in 5-10 years as trees grow some more to shield the basket better. There has been even more rough clearing to make it easier to find discs but still punishing to go into. My one gripe of the course was hole 10, if youth baseball is playing then there are cars parked on the left side. A tree was removed on the right side of the fairway ~150 feet off the tee which keeps you away from that side of the fairway for RHBH/LHFH which is great.

Check. Real par 4's? Check. Classy elevated basket on 18? Check. Really feels like a hidden gem because it's rarely busy and even when it is things flow pretty good. Honestly ...

Check. Real par 4's? Check. Classy elevated basket on 18? Check. Really feels like a hidden gem because it's rarely busy and even when it is things flow pretty good. Honestly can't think of any criticism other than it doesn't have a champ level difficulty layout, but it doesn't claim to be that. Just an overall great place for a solo round, casual round with the gang, or day at the park with the family. Did I mention they have a big play structure and splash pad for the kids?
