I would give it a B if the bridge was up. Could only play 14 holes.

Nice course. Good length. Combination of forehand & backhand holes. A brand new walkway has been built to get from #14 to #15, so you don't have to use the Bog Bridge! Lots of blind shots, but once you've played the course, you know where to go.

Played the course for the first time. I like it. Had a hard time finding 15. Overall its a nice course. Could use some signs on each hole.

Course is always nice. Need more people to pick up trash. STOP PAINTING AND WRITING ON EVERYTHING. Disc golf does NOT need to be a graffiti sport.

As of 07/04/2012 this is a B+ course and suitable for tournaments. It's hard to get past the problems that plagued this course over the past few years, but there are now 18 holes and the bridge is fixed. They have also cleaned the course up, added landscaping, and it's very nice. Hole one still borders on a parking lot that is a recipe for disaster and the pond at hole one rises so far that it interferes with several holes. Other that that, this course is really coming around, Kudos to everyone that helped.

Nice course layout. keep your eye out for the bricks in the ground marking next tee, there are few posts.

This is a good course it just needs some fine tuning to be great. I have liked some of the new improvements and I've seen it come along way in some respects. You get a little of everything and some holes are challenging some could be better. Over all a decent place to play. Just not a must.

Nice course, good mix of open windy holes with water, and some woodsy holes. Good distance on most holes. Pretty fun course, lack of signs can get confusing but there are signs in the ground pointing to next tee. Some holes its tough to tell which way it goes but follows a decent format. Hole 11 I missed and was throwing deep, hole is short to left.

Liked the design! The holes were fun and varied nicely It took some experience to do well but overall it was good and easy to keep track of your disc. It was missing distances and hole descriptions. With a little work it could one of the best around.

The fairways were cut from Sunday. Also only had to pick up a few pieces of garbage. Is this course finally turning around?

Overall a great experience. Good mixture of open baskets and wooded. Played the pond safe, no big deal. Finding the next tee wasn't a task but knowing where the basket was located seemed hard, we sent a spotter on a few. Our club plays everything par 3, birdied a couple baskets. Glad we added this course to our Saturday tour.

The course has had some major improvements over this and previous summers. Foliage has been cleaned up on every fairway, shot lines have been opened up to a more familiar look for those who have played the course over the years. There are waste baskets now at every tee pad to help control the litter, STOP THROWING BOTTLES IN THE ROUGH!! we have trash cans now that are freshly painted. The next tee signs have all been pulled, repainted, clear coated and moved to a location to make it easier to na ...

the first three holes very confusing, there is no hole lay out so if your a 1st timer your lost and golfing blind.

One of the best free ones around by far. Well taken care of. Nice cut fairways with some blind tee shots sprinkled in. Garbage cans and benches at almost every tee. No restrooms. Hardly ever see garbage on this course.

Well maintained and close to home! Nice mix of open and wooded holes. Nice basket placement! My new home course!

This course is awesome. Good mix short long wooded open, bathrooms, practice basket, tee signs and markers. FREE

Super nice course, threw about every shot I had in my bag. Great variety of short, long, BH or FH. Only con is that there are no markers on the tee sign to show where the basket is from the tee.

I really can't see a way to improve this course. It has it all, just maybe getting dated now that it's 15 years old. For first time players I recommend either playing a practice round, walking the course or playing with someone with knows the basket locations well. I would say almost half the tee shots are blind to the basket, which makes for a frustrating first round. This is quite a park and paired with the 20 min drive to Addison Oaks, it makes for a shining area for the disc golf world to visit.

Decent variety and some elevation change. Overall a fun course to play just wish it was a little more secluded. Errant shots can hit some dangerous areas such as playgrounds and baseball fields.

A multi use township park course ideal for all skill levels with several layout options. Numerous improvements the last few years. There are 30 pads (cement and turf), 28 baskets, 12 different 18 hole layouts, and 3 11 hole loop layouts! The white baskets are for the shorts, yellow baskets are shorts or longs and blue baskets are left ngs. Lightly wooded, mild elevation, water hazards and mostly wide grass fairways. A combination of short technical shots and bomber shots. Some punishing roughs, ...

Out of Bounds areas are very thick and overgrown, very easy to lose a disc if your shot hooks left or right into the shrubbery.

A nice fun course. More open but some wooded holes. Course is maintained well. Very fun to play.

Solid course, updates made it more challenging, Definitely will test your distance.

This is a great course in a great location. To me this feels like a technical course and will test your skills. Very clean, and well groomed. I LOVE the 2nd holeshot over the pond (even though I've lost plenty of discs in it). We usually disc here and head to Sagebrush in downtown Lake Orion after. Great little trip for us on the weekends.

Since there are a lot of blind shots from the tee box it would be nice to have the hole layout at the tee posts.

Haven't played Devil's Ridge in years. Course was a blast. So much nicer than years ago. Immaculate condition and mostly dry when all the other courses are muddy in spring. Great improvements over the years. Thanks Miles and MMDGC. Great job in restoring a classic course. Gets busy with playgrounds, water park and ball fields that surrounds course so plan ahead.

Nicely maintained. Good mix shot types. Want to play again when not so windy to get a better feel for the course.

Best maintained course in the area. Metroparks and state parks could learn something from Seymore Lake staff. Course rewards Skill and distance. NO poke and hope, luck box BS. Playing here means smooth rounds without much searching for a shot that wasn't bad.. That means more time for more rounds. Donate to the park at the box, give money where it goes back into the course. Don't give the cash to the parks that don't care about disc golfers. Don't mow, don't weed whip, don't improve. Give that season pass and parking $$ to this place instead.

Great course with a few water hazards early on. Nothing too terribly complicated, but plenty of distance holes as well as shorter techy holes. Park has bathrooms and pavilions as well, so definitely a course you'll wanna hit and make a day of it.

perfect mix of field, woods, water, elevation holes. gorgeous and very clean. fairway grass kept nice. great ammenities (navigation stones to next tee, benches, trash cans, etc).

Amazing mix of different types of holes.Lots of risk reward shots
+0 votes Jeff Doran › February 26, 2023
This park course is well-maintained and rarely seems to flood which are both bonuses. Bombers probably love this place, as the average length for each hole is 344 feet, with six par 3 holes ranging greater than 400 feet and one par 4 on hole 18 which is over 500 feet. However, without short tees, this course only caters to big arms. Add in the fact that this place is ALWAYS windy, anyone who isn’t consistently averaging 320 feet from the tee pad should probably steer clear of this place if sco ...

Nice course. Mostly open, but some Semi-tight holes in the woods. The open holes are long and hilly. Hole 2 is a beauty! All par 3s so it can be a challenge for weaker arms. Look forward to newer baskets here someday. (Update) the new basket wish has been fulfilled and there are also some nice alternate layouts as well. Always clean and mowed and amazing tee pads.

Beautiful layout and design. There is a good variety of technical shots, and a couple fun ace run holes. The distance and wind can make a nice challenge for any player.

(09/13/2020) After some recent rough clearing, this course is one of my favorites. Has a great mix of 400+ foot holes and holes in the 200-300 foot range. Course has fair obstacles in trees, as well as a great mix of dogleg lefts and rights. The best part of the course is that it appears to be unaffected by recent rain or rough weather. Always in great condition to play.
(04/25/2021) Loving the new alternate basket layouts. Wasn't the biggest fan of the alternate pin locations on 4 and 6 ...

Fairly open and fast course to play, the real challenge is the distance and the wind on the course. Always a great time to play!

This course has a lot of love poured into it. Park like setting in the front, more woodsy in the back. Clean cut fairways with limited rough, although there are a couple holes where the brush can swallow a disc. Many holes have either two tees or two baskets, and a few have both, so playing a second round of 18 is not just rinse and repeat. Mostly mid range distance, 300 to 450 feet, but each hole gives you something to think about.

Easy to see all the hard work put into the course. A lot of love coming from the staff and community. Great course overall, home for me. I started with murder mitten dgc at Seymore Lake Park as a newcomer to disc golf. The layout is easy to navigate, and love the shot shapes needed. Keep up the great work. Would highly suggest this course for all skill levels. Great additions with the long and shorts, really gives all levels of players a great experience.

Seymour has been a well maintained local course for years now, but the recent changes have really taken it to the next level. They've added multiple pads and permanent pin locations for almost every hole, and all new DC 28's! Ace runs? Check. Challenging woods lines? Check. Picturesque top of the world shot over water? Check. Real par 4's? Check. Classy elevated basket on 18? Check. Really feels like a hidden gem because it's rarely busy and even when it is things flow pretty good. Honestly ...

Fantastic course, really well maintained and laid out. My only complaint is that there are a lot of different layouts and baskets on the course. It can be somewhat challenging to navigate which tee pad + basket combination you need to use for the selected layout.
