I lost a clear white Crush that has "orange" written next to Crush on hole 6 last Friday. My number may be faded but it would be gnarly to get that disc back. No questions asked.

I meet with some of the Washtenaw Park management today to answer questions about what else could be done to improve the Disc Golf Courses at Rolling Hills. They are considering a multi phase approach. Some items being considered:

• Additional 6 holes on existing course – Would make the course a 24 hole permanent course
• Upgrade all the original course baskets (Chainstar) to new to ... more

I meet with some of the Washtenaw Park management today to answer questions about what else could be done to improve the Disc Golf Courses at Rolling Hills. They are considering a multi phase approach. Some items being considered:

• Additional 6 holes on existing course – Would make the course a 24 hole permanent course
• Upgrade all the original course baskets (Chainstar) to new tournament level baskets – suggestion Prodigy Pro
• Additional 6 holes added to the New course – Rolling Meadows - Would make the course a 24 hole permanent course – Match the MVP Black Hole baskets.
• Add benches. Explore parking options, more trash cans and Picnic tables.

They will be looking for some representatives from our disc golf community to help plan these enhancements – My involvement will be very limited going forward due to a new commitment.

Rolling Meadows New 18 hole Course

The course will be complete officially tomorrow June 1st - basket on Hole 18 will be planted.

Scott Linn (maintenance at Rolling Hills) also said he will try and mow new Holes 3, 5 & 6 fairways weather permitting today. The rest I have hand grass sickled the main fairway path over the last week and will try to make a few passes tonight with my good mower since my old Course mower hit one to many stumps and is now running again but the special size blade will not be here for another week or so….

The last basket will be locked into it’s collar tomorrow, Saturday June 1st. I will spend about 1-2 hours cleaning up a few areas and then at 1:00 (Not Noon as previous mentioned ) The first 18 hole round with 18 baskets will be played.

Some of the initial holes have been updated and extended. The fairways are very tight in the woods and these will open up over time. The tee placements will be evaluated and finalized over the next year so Tee pads can be poured when Indy new course gets tee pads.

If you want to help with the last few items to finish the course be out around 10:30 or text me (734-678-5593) – my white car will be parked along the road near the new course. Or if you want to play in the first round Join us at 1:00 at Hole #1 tee pad.

Clean up tasks:
Hole 7 tee area clear brush and stumps
Hole 3 clear brush near basket
Hole 18 finish drainage area near tee and bury drainage pipe. Clear some small stumps in fairway – Plant Last basket..

The rough cut in, drainage mitigation and baskets are almost complete. I will be out the next two weeks trying to clean up and get all but the last two basket in place. Saturday June 1st we will have a short course wrap up and then lock in the last two basket and play the first full course round. Anyone who wants to help are welcome. No tools needed. Will move some brush piles and maybe dig a bit more on the water feature/ drainage mitigation and the ... more

Thanks to those who have been playing the holes that are in it helps keep the fairways open. The maintenance crews will begin mowing the new course in a few weeks. I’ll make one more pass with my push mower. Getting Close !!!!!

On Friday, May 17, Rolling Hills will be hosting open play Glow Disc Golf for bag tag holders from 9-10:30pm (park gates will be locked at 10:45pm). There is no additional charge for this event, just some extra play time after hours for bag tag holders!

This is a singles, non-handicapped league designed to introduce newer members of our disc golf community, to league play and tournament rules. Played on shorter courses, designed to induce development in the newer player and still challenge the technical, wooded game of veteran golfers.

This is a fun league. Prizes, themes, CTP’s, Ace Pool and Berths are the spoils of those brave enough to have this kind of fun.

Left a blue soft proton anode with a white swirl behind today on the last hole of the labyrinth. I am almost positive someone found it as it wasnt where i left it after i came back 30 minutes later. My mame amd mumber are on it. Please return it:( ill give out some plastic or some cash to whoever found it... if you see someone with it or know who found it let them know ill reward them.
