Jon Tveite 56 - Main course, White tees, 18 holes "This course, on Martha's Vineyard (first time I've played disc golf on an island, I believe), was a fun addition to our long weekend on Cape Cod. We caught a ferry at 9:30, rented some scooters to get around, and caught the ferry back at 3:45. The course was built in a scrubby area of the state forest in the middle of the island, so there were a lot of trees and some open space as well. I had 8 discs with me, and decided to play the white tees, which were often pretty short (over half the holes were under 250'). I was throwing pretty well off the tee and probably should have been under par, but I made some dumb mistakes and missed a few good birdie opportunities. Both my birdies were short holes where I threw putters and had short putts for deuce. But I followed that up with two bogeys on holes that should have been easy pars -- although not as easy as my final bogey which was under 200' and only became difficult because I hit trees on my first three shots."Saturday, March 15, 2014
