The initial 9 hole layout at Oregon Park was approved by Cobb County and put into play in early 1990. Myself and Tim Geib were the 2 main players who worked with the county and John David to get this course designed and in the ground. It pleases me immensely to see that it's grown and is still thriving all these years later.

Some of the basic stats about this course are false. For example, the course has had 18 baskets in 18 separate holes since May of 2009. Who has the power to fix that?

Great to hear, Dennis! Tim and I spent MANY hours preparing presentations, attending meetings, walking the park, etc. to get it done. Disc golf was in its infancy even then, so convincing the county to spend money on a course was a huge challenge. I'm so happy that it paid off!c.
I saw Tim last September, he’s still competitive in the K9 Disc scene. I knew the install was around 1990, do you remember what month or season it was?
If memory serves it was in the spring. For years I had a flyer for the inaugural tourney that was signed by a bunch of the guys that played in it. I'll have to dig through the attic and see if I can find it.
