Main courseCourse description:We replaced the lost fairways to the Hike and Bike Trail and Lewisville Lake Park's disc golf course is now open and had a full 18 holes! We have 5 new holes replacing those lost. Five of the original nine fairways on the beach side of Sandy Beach Road remain unchanged. We lost 2 fairways, old #8 & #9. Two fairways #1 and #7 have new tee pads. Our signature fairway #1 has a new shorter fairway, launching from what was the green for Fairway #8. Fairway #7 has a longer drive, as the tee pad is placed 10 yards further from the original tee pad. Fairways #2,4,5 & 6 are unchanged. The basket for Fairway #3 was moved uphill, as beach erosion had destroyed the original lower bluff. There is a map posted inside the community box located very close to Teepad #1. Look to it for all changes and new course layout and new numbers. We replaced the lost fairways to the Hike and Bike Trail and Lewisville Lake Park's disc golf course is now open and had a full 18 holes! Main courseCourse description:The City of Lewisville has graced the LLPDG course with a new trail. A very wide concrete jogging trail with 3 foot gravel shoulders meandering through the Fairways of #1, 8,9,11 and 12. The park was closed for reconstruction late December 2015 and remains closed. We are meeting with the Lewisville City Parks and Leisure Services Department to find out their contractors latest construction schedule. We hope to find new space within the Lake Park to replace the lost fairways due to the insipid bike trail. The park was closed late December 2015 and remains closed as of today April 15, 2016. The Lewisville City won't say how soon the disc golf park will be re-opened, and we will have to design 5 new fairways to replace those lost to us. We are trying to keep Fairway #1, since we throw perpendicular to the trail and it's our signature hole. The City of Lewisville has graced the LLPDG course with a new trail.
