it says on udisc that there is a new course at Rush Creek Park, not far from Hughes. Has anybody heard anything? I can't find anything about it

That's pretty cool. I'll have to check it out! Thanks

It's been a while, but I'm gonna go check this out soon, thank for the info.

I went there today, first tee is by the basketball courts. Tees are wooden, like at hughes. Baskets are nice, DGA. Most holes are about 200 feet, some more and some less. Good mix of the 9 are wooded, some are open.

here is the response i have from the hudsonville city manager

Sounds good. Yes, the poles along the south lot line are for a new 6u2019 boundary fence. The DPW is also installing concrete pads at each of the tees this week. Sadly, they have already been vandalized twice (people writing their names or placing a footprint in the wet concrete). Please do your part to respect and take care of our park. If you see vandalism occurring, please call 911. Thank you.

so anything over the fence line on holes 3,4,11 are OB and on private proterty.

yes hole 3 is moved forward. 5 is slightly moved, 8 is moved forward 17 has been moved tthe other side of the tree by the ball field. it also looks like there will be OB on holes 3,4 and 11. they have placed what appears to be chain link fence poles along the southern edge of the park. making anything on the other side of the fence OB.

Winter tee markers have been installed for the 2014/2015 winter season. Orange on the front 9. Yellow on the back 9. The markers are placed about 3 to 4 feet either right or left of the tees.

Is there a winter league here

Randy Shreve   November 5, 2014 at 7:04pm

there was last year. not sure if there will be one this year or not. it was on sundays and a flip doubles league. I havent asked the city for permision to put the markers in this year but that will be soon.

Randy Shreve    November 30, 2012 at 9:33am

Once again we have been approved to place tee markers next to the tee boards at Hughes for any winter rounds. Orange are for the front nine. Yellow are for the back nine. The markers are about a foot or more to the left of the board. The only exception being Hole 4. That one is to the right of the board due to the basket being just to the left.
