Good course. Large tee pads, multiple baskets for each hole, good mixture of long open holes and tighter wooded shorts. Some elevation here and there. Great wed. Night Doubles at 6.

I'm a newbie, so to be fair, I haven't been to enough courses to really be able to assign a grade. That said, as others have commented, there is absolutely no way a first-time player can go to this course and have the faintest idea of where the T-pads are and which pad, if you could find it, goes to which basket. It's a beautiful course, plenty of challenges. I went to the office to get a map, lady said they're out of maps, should have some by the end of the week. Didn't seen to care one way ...

The course has since been redone. though it is long it is much easier to navigate and you can actually place all 18 holes now.

C'mon BREC!! This course should be in better shape than this. No markers ANYWHERE! Just gotta guess where the tees are based on the bare spots! And this is the only public course in BR? Yes I know about the ones in Baker and Zachary (they dont count, although they fall under the BREC umbrella)

This course is very fun to play with its elevation changes and long tees. But, the course is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate without a map or asking someone where to go. If highland would put signs for the tee box and directions to them, this course would be amazing

Just some tee pads and signage away from being a great course. The long tee drives have good balance between distance and obstacles. The use of elevation sets it apart from the other courses around Baton Rouge.

I really like the course and it's a great challenge. However, the course is poorly marked so I'm not giving it an A. I've been playing it since there were signs at every hole, so I still know it. But now it's lacking for new folks. I added a course map in the photos section which is current as of Sept 2013 to help you navigate.
