Matthew Hull 52 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Oh...my...gosh. I will remember this particular round for multiple reasons! The good is that, for the most part, I played really well despite how wet the grass was (I played at 8am to try and avoid the heat.) My upshots and putting were outstanding for once thanks to the Electron Envy which is very encouraging heading into next week's tournament! I made a 40-50 ft. putt on #10 and a 30 ft. one on #12! It wasn't the best day as far as distance is concerned with my drives but I feel I made the right adjustments. The problem is that after my round, I simply was practicing on a few holes and I literally spent two to two and a half HOURS searching for two of my discs! If you miss the fairways here, the tall grass/nettles will PUNISH you. I am really feeling it right now. What a day!"Sunday, May 20, 2018

Matthew Hull 53 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Somehow, someway...despite my putting being REALLY off today (everything was just way low and way lame...lol), I managed to win the card with Jon and Mark with a 1 under performance. My Champion Katana continues to feel AMAZING (came very close on #9 and ended up within 15 ft. on #10), my Trace of Hearts finds a predictable hyzer line (birdies on #1 and 3 thanks to that disc), and I even threw my Cottonwood Buzzz once on #14 (came up short but close enough to the basket). A Star Roadrunner OB on #15 was the only regrettable drive really. I should have ended up 6-8 under par but that's where putting comes in. Still, it was nice to play pretty well...especially since one of my friends was talking a LOT of smack today. ;)"Thursday, May 17, 2018

Matthew Hull 52 - Regular tees, 18 holes "It was another nice 70-75 degree morning/afternoon and, despite not feeling it like yesterday, I felt pretty good about the way I played overall. If I can simply cut down on the OBs (two this round and three during my second round), I might have a chance to beat my personal best. The Champion Katana continues to feel crisp and solid (hit chains hard on my drive on #9 but it didn't stick and had near perfect drives on #14 and 16), my Star Teebird feels better and better (hits the line I want on #11 in particular), and the Roach, while not as amazing as yesterday, feels more and more comfortable as well."+3
Matthew Hull 57 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Sigh...sometimes a good round simply involves hitting the fairways and avoiding the dreaded OBs. Unfortunately, I hit FOUR of them this round (twice on #16). The good part of the round, however, is my friends Jon and Cat joined me along with my wife and son which was way cool! We had a lot of fun and I at least managed to snag a few birdies."Wednesday, May 16, 2018

Matthew Hull 49 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I am starting to enjoy Heritage Park more and more the more I play it! It was a pleasant 70 degree day and I felt better the more I played. My Trace and Champion Katana felt superb and my putting was as good as it has been lately with my Roach of all discs! The Roach! :) I also threw my Pikachu Pro Boss and Star Teebird at times with an occasional Cottonwood Buzzz/Star Spider approach throw. My drive of the day might have been on Hole #6 with my Champion Katana (375 ft. hole and my drive was within 25 ft!) although my CK also nailed the line on #10 (290 ft. hole). The only real snafu was on #17 as my Pro Boss nailed a tree and I was playing catch-up. Still, a personal best this round was (as Yoda would say). ;)"-5
Matthew Hull 49 - Regular tees, 18 holes "All I can say is what a back nine!! If only I could have played a bit better on the front half (struggled with an OB on #4 both rounds as my Star Roadrunner got squirrly there and got too much hyzer with my Pro Boss on #8) I would have broken my personal record but still...it was something else. My putting was so good (for once!) as I made multiple 30+ ft. putts with my Roach and snatched several birdies that I would normally have missed. I played the last three holes about as well as I can play them too! My Champion Katana drive felt SO good on #16, the Pikachu Pro Boss got revenge on #17 (hit the line to the left between the trees), and my Champion Katana drive on #18 was superb. Matthew Hull 52 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Oh...my...gosh! This round nearly started with a BANG! I threw my Trace of Hearts on Hole #1 and it literally hit the hyzer line and hit chains before landing 15 ft. to the left of the basket! SO close to an ace! Obviously, that was quite the moment (almost) but I really felt good at Heritage this afternoon. I hadn't played there since last November so it was really cool to enjoy a couple of rounds there. I threw very well overall and tossed a heavy dose of Trace drives (after what nearly happened on #1 why not, right?) with the occasional Inertia or Pikachu Pro Boss mixed in for good measure. Unfortunately, I simply couldn't make a putt outside of 15-20 ft. which was a bummer. I had a fantastic Cottonwood Buzzz drive on #13 to snatch a sweet birdie and I played #18 way better than last time!"-3
Matthew Hull 51 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Despite it being really warm (85 degrees), I went ahead and played a fairly quick second round @ Heritage Park. I threw even better than my first round with the exception of #16-18. In all seriousness, a 15-20 mph continuous gust of wind appeared out of thin air and really made life miserable during that final stretch! It was frustrating! But otherwise, I was so happy with this round. I actually went with my Cottonwood Buzzz on #3 and parked it pretty close to the basket (not easy for me to throw my Buzzz that far). My Mayhem really came through for me on #5 (tough hole to avoid the OB for some reason) and my putting (Neutron Envy and Shield) was much better as well."Friday, November 3, 2017

Matthew Hull 55 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Oh what might have been! Overall, I had yet another superb round of disc golf. However, I wish that I could have just two drives back. I hooked my drive on #11 too far to the left and unfortunately got an OB there. The same happened on #18 as well. I threw my Champion Valkyrie (which tends to bend to the right since it is quite broken in) and unfortunately, it was high and the wind really took it to the left. A solid -26 overall but I definitely left some throws out there. Next time! :)"Thursday, November 2, 2017

Matthew Hull 54 - Regular tees, 18 holes "WOW!! What a fantastic round! I actually had to finish holes #16 & 17 this afternoon (the 3rd of November) due to a filming session that took place on the 2nd. But overall, I was very, very happy with my overall performance. I missed an ace on #9 by probably 3-5 feet and I couldn't have played #13 any better than I did (terrific left turn to give me that birdie chance). Playing actual course pars, I got a staggering -27!"Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Matthew Hull 62 - Regular tees, 18 holes "I honestly enjoyed this course a lot more than expected. The presence of OBs throughout and the unique way that you would have to approach certain holes made this feel like an adventure of sorts. It was fun!
