The course covers a good 2+ miles of hiking, sectioned into three areas (1-7, 8-13, 14-18) surrounding the campground. Tee pads are primitive and marked by small rock piles and flags; the UDisc app is your best way to know exactly where to go. There is a paper map of the course available at the visitor's center, but since the tee-pads are basically just dirt patches, some are difficult to see until you are right on top of them. With permanent tee pads in the future (no doubt they are putting thought and money into this course) I would call this a strong must-visit with the caveat that it does require a lot of energy to play fully, and competitively. I played a round in sunny (even hot!)) 55F November weather. In the summer I can imagine it's much more of a sweater and requires your bring food and water as if hiking 3-4 miles with good elevation gain.
