Champ side is definitely a challenge. Hit your line or pay the price. Nice layout with long bomber holes and some tricky woods lines. This course is definitely growing on me. Rec side is fantastic for all levels of player. A few open holes with nice lines then tossed into the woods for a few tougher holes. I highly recommend playing both sides for this cpurse is one of the best Southern Illinois has to offer. Karma in Salem is only a twenty minute drive you could make a great weekend out of this area.

Is now two 18's, long bombs, plays like a golf course, very well marked with signs to the next tee at every basket, and score cards too beat! Overall a super beautiful course, makes for a long day if you play both 18's.

Very long, difficult course. Nice variety of shots, a lot of technical shots that are probably beyond my skill level. Good use of the park, i really enjoyed the way the course utilized the river.

This was a very nice course that is well cared for. Challenging shots in a beautiful park. The only things that keep this from being rated higher are lack of signage at the start separating the Champion course from the Red course and several tee signs that were not very helpful. Other than those two minor things this is a GREAT Course. If you are in the area this is a must play.

My favorite course so far! Being maintained every time I’m out there! Progress is coming to anyone seeking! Can’t wait to see it when the flowers start blooming!

Course is not well maintained, realizing it’s an old foundation but too many pot holes , craters , dips an ankle busters ; not to mention the enormous amount of tree brush on the ground , acorns and those monkey brain fruit. Feel sorry for the one whose head gets pounced on by one of those. It is a bit long for newbies an hard to locate the next tee if you’ve just arrived. Anyways, not impressed an for a hour an a half trip up there was not worth the trip. The both get a D- NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP COURSE ( don’t know why that’s even there)
