This is a true diamond in the rough as it is the most difficult 18 hole course in Maryland as seen in a recent tournament where no one including pros finished under par. She doles out birdies with an eyedropper. The course needs some TLC and is getting some now from a determined group of local discers but she still remains challenging, puts demands on you physically and requires every disc in your bag with every type of shot. With a polishing, regular upkeep and much needed installation of permanent tee pads, this course can be one of the best in the DMV.

One of my favorites courses in Maryland. Very challenging and beautiful. Lot of people don’t know about this course, but they should. This course makes you throw every type of shot in your bag and is great to help improve all shot types. Course has had several improvements and changes over the past year making it even better.

Course has seen major changes/upgrades. Over 100+ volunteer hours have been spent since January, 2020 by the Maryland DG Community to maintain the course. Baskets Cleaned, Tee signs added (short-term signs till we get the final ones made). Some locations were moved to create a better flow from hole-to-hole and no longer challenging to find the next hole. Can be a bit challenging for a first timer but there is a map/layout posted on the Darnestown Demon Facebook Group. Overall glad to see this co ...

Course manager and designer have been hard at work bringing The Demon back to life after a few years living out of the area. All fairways have been blown off and almost all tees rebuilt, with a February 13th completion date for the Ice Bowl tournament. The basket on hole 3 will also be moved away from fence line (following the recent realignment of holes 1-4 when the neighboring property was plotted.) The goal is to have signage completed by fall 2021 with a few more fairway tweaks to clean up f ...

A decent course. Needs some maintenance and some of the holes are a little too much luck rather than skill, for example, throwing into randomly placed trees and hoping for the best and other things. Overall though this is still a good course. Look for the plastic pipes for tee signs, some are on the ground. The nearby Seneca creek course is much better and used more.

This course can be challenging but trying to figure out the next tee pad location can be difficult as the PVC pipes used to mark tee areas can be lacking in parts. Heavily wooded and hilly, I played this course in the fall solo which was probably a mistake on my part.
