Positives - I liked most of the course design. The course flowed well. Use of trees was positive and had a good mix of long and short, and finish left and right lines. I enjoyed the high pin holes. The benches were great and the sings were cool.

Negatives- in need of an update with baskets and signs need repair. The ground has been ignored and more annoying weeds. Looking across at other parts of the park it is disappointing that they have not taken better care of the fairways.

If you have played this course (pre 2014) you are in for a real treat the next time you make it out! Our local club (SCFC) has worked hard with some city workers to get the course to what we'd like to see it become! We've had around 30 new trees installed and a couple new bunkers also! Future plans have an elevated pin-pyramid, alternate pin locations and/or tees. The stickers and lack of grass issues have been addressed! This course is really coming along and we hope to do much more to it! ...

This course was set around a ball golf course. Nice cement tee pads and signs with distances! Good amount of variety and short and long holes. Mature trees scattered throughout making for a good amount of obstacles for Kansas. Really thought this course had a good flow to it! Most holes reachable so the birdies are there, just gotta clean them up

Pros: There are concrete teepads, baskets, signs, Benches at every teepad which is very nice. There are alot of fun long holes and a few wooded holes.
Cons: some of the holes are kind of short and open, a couple of the tee signs are missing, and theres alot of sand.
But overall it is a very nice course.

great course, not a massive amount of challenge but it's great for beginners and average players, few holes will frustrate you.

this course has gone down hill alot in the last two years...the park people really dont take care of it very well. there are no trash cans anywhere and they do not even try to mow most of...be prepared for sand burrs and those stupid pokie grass seed stickers! recommend wearing jeans...

Still my home course, and I'll always come back to it even after I got spoiled by Oak down in Wichita for awhile. I can't complain about the hole distances, because it's still a great ego boost for novices like me to hit the occasional birdie. Overall shorter than other courses in the region, but like I said, not a negative in my books. Now, if we could only do something about those sand burrs, it'd have an "A" rating... Update 5-6-13: Recently mowed down some of the really overgrown roughs, ...

Pretty good mix of long and short shots. Not a lefty or righty dominant course in my opinion. However it does not take all the skills that a well rounded player should have in thier bag to shoot under par. This and the lack of elevation are reason for downgrading the course alone. It also is a dissapointment to see the lack of trash recepticals throughout the course. It hurts me to see our course degraded by inconsiderate people who cannot truck our the trash that they bring in. I do believe tha ...

Like the course being a beginner, I think it's beginner friendly, except when windy. Lol Some updates have been done since I've started playing and it sounds like a lot more are to come. Trash is being picked up except for a few boneheads.

I'm about a year into the sport and I'm now very proud to call Carey park my home course. There have been many updates and cleaning up of the area. The community and town have pulled together to completely upgrade the area. There have been many trees added and sand bunkers. There is always somebody playing and the disc golf community if very welcoming of new people. I would really like to thank Ian Ray and Matthew Newton for the great efforts you both have put into this.

Great course, very open. Can be a nightmare on a windy day, though.
