This course has the potential to be something really special. Clayton, did an exceptional job utilizing the property he had to work with for this demanding 24 hole course. I know I'm not the only one excited to see what the future holds for BRDG!

Perfect example of how a "backyard course" can be so much more than expected. 24 unique holes are formed through different tee pad to basket combinations and guaranteed to test all aspects of your game and require a variety of different shots. This course has some surprising length, the perfect amount of OB and mandos to test your accuracy and overall a lot of fun. I can't wait to see how the course continues to come together with time and excited to come back to play in the future!

Clayton’s course is by far one of the best I’ve ever played. It has every and any kind of shots you can think of. My favorite hole is the Eagles nest, once you play it, you will understand!

This course is so beautiful. You get any and everything thrown your way which though they aren’t very long holes, you are presented a nice satisfying challenge at every hole. Clayton is a great gracious host and an even better human being! The Eagles nest hole is the best hole on the course in my opinion but that’s just personnal preference 🔥

This course is truly a back yard gem. If you love variety and a challenge “Black River” is a must visit. The course designer knows his disc golf and you can tell by his work.

Crazy what the owner has down with 5 acres of property! I thought I was walking into a beginners course, but it turned out to be a real challenge! The course has inspired me to begin working on my own course! Thanks for having me!

Black River Disc Golf Course is surprisingly challenging if your assumption is that it is only a backyard course on 5 acres. With many teepads and crisscrossing fairways it can be confusing, but it is necessary to accommodate all of the different cool looks you have on this course. The shots are balanced and holes unique. Barns holes, island holes, baskets on an elevated mound, hanging baskets with quirky hanging birdhouses around it--the course is aesthetically pleasing. Some baskets are hom ...

A 24/27 hole longs course and 20 hole shorts course built within the confines of 5 acres. Plenty of work and imagination went in to building this course with help from several other people visions. I'm giving this course an "A" out of respect for all of the love that the disc golf community in Sumter and Grand Rapids, have given it. While it was built as an individuals course, it quickly turned into a hot spot for many of the Sumter disc golfers. Thank you for all the kind words.

Awesome course with a well thought out setup. A lot of creative thinking went into making a course of this caliber fit on 5 acres. It will challenge all skill levels with its large variety of hyzer/anhyzer shots coupled with low hanging ceilings caused from the overhanging tree branches and moderate to long fairways. Throw Clayton’s top notch personality and love for the sport on top of that and you’re guaranteed a great time/round out at Black River DGC. I would highly suggest checking it out!

Hands down the most creatively designed course I've ever played, considering number of holes it offers versus limited amount of acreage. What is most refreshing is that the course is not a pitch and putt course! A very fun course and a must play if invited!

This is a great course on a small property. Loved the layout even if it can be a bit confusing the first go round. Loved it. Did like the use of the barn in the layout

Black River is a gorgeous course built on just a few acres of private property. The holes are strategically placed to offer various challenges and great distances. Things are spaced out nicely so you don’t feel cramped. Even though some of the t-pads share baskets, the order is perfect so that multiple groups can play at once. These holes are super creative and you can tell the owner is very passionate about his craft. 10/10 would recommend.
