Having skied many cross-country races at Birch Hill while back in high school, I had a decent guess as to what this course would be like. It definitely did not let me down. This course offers a very good variety of holes and definitely tests just about every type of shot in your arsenal. From long, wide open bombs to tight and technical wooded holes, uphills as well as downhills, left turns and right turns - Birch Hill is a course that can challenge any player despite their level of ability. ...

Course is in great shape, I liked the layout. The course is somewhat technical but I feel that's what makes it great.

It's a fun course, lots of fun shots. It's hard to play sometimes because schools use it for cross country races and other sports. And dummies walking their dogs will just pretend you're not there and walk right in front of your shot.

I've played a ton of different courses as a 3-4 round per year recreational player and have played many of the famous courses in Iowa. Birch Hill is 100% the best course I've played and the the course that has taught me the most about disc golf. Great course and awesome community too.

Rough course that uses cross country ski trails as fairways and they cut opening in the trees at the sides for "greens". Bring deep woods insect repellant with you, because the mosquitoes are brutal. It's a technically difficult course with long and short holes. Right and left hooks in the fairways and plenty of trees to get in your way! I enjoyed playing here!
