Course is looking much better, removed some of the large trees blocking fairways so #6 is more playable. 2 hours hard work. Need a work day out there to clean up the rest of #6.

Hoping to get there in the next few days to see what shape the course is in. Glow starts next Wednesday...hopefully it is in decent shape. Any word on the walking path to #7....was blocked by a HUGE uprooted tree several weeks back.

Ben Calhoun   October 2, 2013 at 3:36pm

someone took it out with a chainsaw, I just used a handsaw on #6 and removed the one blocking the white tee, etc. you can throw the original fairway shots of 6 all tees now, but it is a MAJOR punishment to miss in some spots, if you go in the ditch, prepare to take a 5 from the blue tee

Ben Calhoun   October 2, 2013 at 3:37pm

that needs serious work

We're no better than any other developer paving habitat over with a parking lot if we don't take the time to consider the impact of our activities--NAP is the organization responsible for the stewardship of our shared resources.

Zach Zeneberg   August 16, 2013 at 12:55pm

So saying that they are "responsible" is misleading and kind of inflammatory Ben--the facts revealed by an impact assessment conducted by NAP are responsible--some development just shouldn't happen due to site conditions and variables.

Ben Calhoun   August 16, 2013 at 1:27pm

Exactly, like the unneccessary new high school that chopped a hill top off to pave acres of parking lot and build buildings, leveling woods for soccer fields, but then not allowing a 9 hole course in the woods lol

Ben Ross    August 4, 2013 at 7:01am

Take notice- you WILL be caught. Today we got the stolen basket back, it's in the hands of the police now to interview the guy and hopefully charge and convict the scum. The basket has been released back in my possession.

I am told the practice basket is stolen. I don't be sponsoring any more practice baskets until it is found. Sorry Willow you will have to wait. 200$ cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the thief and return of the basket. Keep your eyes out, someone has it in their yard. 200$ cash reward.

Not too mention, let's say the reward works. Then lets say the judge orders restitution so you two get your 200 bucks back, you will still have to waste time dealing with. If lost even an hour of my life dealing with some punk kid and a cop, I may just stab myself in the balls. I like sams idea but, since I'm poor, I will most likely just sneak in anyway...

Ben Calhoun   July 15, 2013 at 11:03am

Catching the guy, and stringing up his gutted body like a deer in the park for all to see may be a good future deterrent though..

Zach Zeneberg   July 15, 2013 at 4:58pm

I like Stephen's idea, lets take this reprehensible act and turn it into something positive--bandy hasn't had any events in a long while, it could be an opportunity to get together and have fun as a community while raising funds to replace the basket as a community (thus restoring Ben's faith in humanity.) :-)

John Reifschneider    July 12, 2013 at 12:45am

Wanted to invite everyone in the area to the new course opening July 28th 2013 it's been striaght through work from December until now, and its almost done. I just made this pen -Thats beatiful Foz, is that made on a lathe ? How far can you throw it ?

Foz Miller   February 7, 2013 at 2:06pm

Yes I have a mini lathe and it's a pen kit. They all seem supper un-stable and hard to find. I'll use an LED next time ;-)

Foz Miller    February 7, 2013 at 9:38pm

LOST PEN - I just made this pen and lost it last night during glow at Bandemer between hole 3 & 5. REWARD if found...... Yes in the snow.... :-(

Cambodian Red wood burl with a swirl of sap wood on the top portion.

Tim Weir    January 21, 2013 at 9:36pm

If you have lost something at Bandy recently around parking lot near hole#1: get ahold of me via DGS.

g lane    September 29, 2012 at 4:42pm

the city didnt install that basket ben did. dont start calling the city and blah blah blahing to them. i vote dirt and woodchips.

Mike "Papa Par" Even    September 29, 2012 at 4:31pm

Noticed that last night. Hole that was dug wasn't belled out correctly. City "should" redo it or else Joe will be correct and it will be yanked

Joe Wander    September 29, 2012 at 4:20pm

Don't know how well defended the practice basket is below ground, but there are several inches of concrete exposed. Somebody is going to tug that thing out of there one of these days. Perhaps there can be some reinforcement or something.

Ben Calhoun    September 28, 2012 at 7:06pm

Any volunteers for a city approved work day? Holes #3-4, 8 really need some trimming near the tees.

Scott White    September 21, 2012 at 9:21pm

Anyone want to throw some glow out here next week Tuesday, 9/25?
