Okay y'all. It's official. August 9th from 6-8:30 we are having a course work day. Really pushing to get arboretum in awesome shape for the hall of chains. We have bushes that need trimmed, fairways that need weed eat. It's a group effort to put us in position to knock this bad boy out. Okay everyone. We're gonna try to get this thing moving along. WORK DAY AT ARBO. We have a ton of brush to clean up and put at least three pins in the ground. Still a lot of fairway with to be done. I have shovels and some cutting tools with hand saws and pole saws. We are NOT allowed to have power tools at the park. Gonna set the event for 10am Saturday morning and try to knock everything out by 2 at the latest. I don't want to take up everyone's time. If you can swing in for an hour you have no idea what kind of help that would be.

Registration is now open for the 2017 MVP Circuit Challenge at Young's Run DGC. $30 for 3 discs plus additional swag. There will be 2 rounds of play. One from long tees and one from shorts. There will be a break for lunch after 1st round has been completed. Prizes will be awarded per round for each level of play as well as grand prize overall lowest score. Big time shout out to the folks who helped to put in the baskets at Massillon they look great and are an awesome improvement to an already great course. I was wondering if there was any word on the future of Arb and any kind of time table on it. I would also like to make a suggestion as well, Since the course is changing I think it would be fitting to rename the course after Jesse Buryj, it's awesome his favorite hole will be there for years to come but I think naming the course after an Am ... more

What does being pissed get you.....very unfortunate, and the lack of notifications/preparedness to transition the course is a bit upsetting. All we can do is use this as an opportunity to recreate Arboretum.

They had no choice but to revitalize the grounds. It was getting REALLY bad out there and would of only become worse. It will be sort of nice to play a different setup there.
