I consider this my home course so I'll try to be unbiased.
The re-design(after the softball diamond showed up) took this already amazing course from a power thrower's dream to a more intermediate-advanced player friendly one. Red tees are still easy enough for beginners to enjoy while the white tees have been moved to give the more advanced players a challenge. A great balance of distance and accuracy. Elevation change is non-existent except for hole 3 and a little on hole 5 but it makes up for it in distance.
Some of the unique holes on this course are Hole 3, The long 450-550 foot, open fairway meeting a 75 foot uphill tunnel shot. Shot placement in the tunnel entrance can save a stroke or two. Hole 4(WHITE) is across the pond. You can play it safe and cut the pond short, under the trees or you man-up and try to clear the pond and the tall trees at the water's edge, possibly saving a stroke. Risk vs Reward plays it big time on this hole. Hole 9 is completely new and is a 400-some footer through the cottonwoods with the basket tucked inside a circle of cedar trees. After you're finished with hole 9 you can jump right back in and start over at hole 1.
Some improvements could be installment of concrete or solid tee pads, more info on the tee signs, maybe a back nine someday? Some more trashcans along the course would be nice. Litter isn't a bad problem here, I try to do my part by picking up trash along the way. Hole 8 has and awkward fairway but I found that driving left of the tank can provide a low ceiling fairway. Don't drive one into the tank unless you want to instantly beat-in your disc.
Bring plenty of bugspray during the late spring-early fall months. The baskets are based off of the Innova Discatcher Pro, on hole 4 and honestly, you will not be able to tell the difference between the two. GREAT job on the baskets!!!! Upkeep on this park is some of the best I've seen. The grass is always mowed.
Most people that stop and play here on their way through town say that this is a "Diamond in the Rough" 9 hole course and I'm proud to claim this as my home course. Well worth a stop if you're around the area or passing by.
