Hi Everyone,

The Army Corp has the baskets and money and is ready to finish the Beach City Dam course. If they can get enough help, they plan to finish clearing, setting the baskets and pouring the concrete tees by Oct. 10th. A lot of people volunteered to help and now is the time to show it.

Hunter from the Army Corp will be on site from Sept 25th until Oct. 10 (except 10/5,10/6,10/12,10/13) with the Army Corps' equipment. After that he is leaving for another position and we may not ... more

Things are moving ahead with the Beach City Disc Golf Course. The baskets have arrived and are on site.

The next step is to finalize the clearing. The Army Corp staff has a good start but needs assistance. Several people volunteered to help and now is thre time. The Army Corp is going to be busy until after Aug 22nd. In the meantime, we would like to organize some clean-up / clearing days with those who have volunteered. Anyone who has completed the volunteer form can go out and clean-up, we ... more

The Beach City Dam course is finally 100% approved and all the 't's crossed. Baskets are due soon. The Army Corp has started rough clearing the fairways that have been marked. Several people volunteered their time to help with the course and we need to let those people know so they can help with the clearing. Anyone wishing to help, contact Bill Griffith at 'bill.grif1952@gmail,com'. Anyone who wants to help needs to get a volunteer agreement form from the Army Corp.

The Beach City Dam Course is going to happen. The approvals have been made, the funding situation resolved, the course design has been approved, and fairways have been marked for clearing. The only remaining issue is to collect the funds from the sponsors who have verbally offered to buy holes so the baskets can be ordered. I have a partnership (sponsor) application now that I can send out to anyone, group, or company that wants to partner and get their name on a hole. The cost is still $600 per ... more

Please tell me this is happening! Local support is growing daily. More courses = more players. I'm with Greg on this, we are here to help any way we can.

Does T County DGA want another great course? I am working with the Army Corp of Engineers on a course at the Beach City Dam. This would be like Dies Hill without the Blue tees and less hills. They are applying for a grant and are looking for local organizations to provide 'donations'. This helps with the grant process when it shows there is local support there. The donation can be money, a basket, or time. That can be offering to run an event there, help pour concrete tees, find other ... more
